Oh God yes. I did lots of screaming to my ships in Homeworld a few minuites ago.

I talk at the screen *way* too often.

"FUCKING BULLSHIT!!!!"

*often in Steel Panthers: Main Battle Tank when fighting Oberleutnant*

"HIT HIM!"

*Baldur's Gate, Baldur's Gate 2, Throne of Bhaal*

"Got ya ya FUCKER!"

*Any game where something dies and it was difficult and involved much loading of saved games*

BTW, I think my comp gets more verbal abuse that I got as a child (on average, per day).

I usually don't yell at my computer. I might mutter a few extraordinary evil curses to it when I find out that those 100+ errors that comes up when I'm compiling something is caused by one missing semicolon. And when the bluescreen of death appears and ruins half-an-hour of work. And when the Internet is slow as hell.

Though the goddamned Donkey Kong in Mario Kart 64 should have very little self-esteem left (if he had been real, that is) after everything me and my friends hade yelled at him when drives past us 10 metres from the finish line the last lap  :x  :x and Toad and Peach!! :x :x They always cheat as hell!! :x :x But that's not on the computer so maybe it doesn't count?

Watching what Nick does to his computer when it pisses him off is scary.

It includes hitting nearby objects (once he had an unworking cd drive he used to smash the fuck out of, with a wrench) throwing pens at his monitor (it has a large chip in the screen from that) and shouting "YOU FUCKING WANKER, FUCK OFF!" often when his mum returns home and bollocks him for it.

"Nuh-uh motherfucker! No fucking way, goddamned sonofabitch!"- One of my heavy units recieves a critical hit.

*Basso profundo chuckle*-I deliver a critical hit. Especially on a battleship.

And "nonononono!" at a close range torpedo attack, screws up my entire fleet structure unless I manouver the whole damned thing....

Talk? no.

Scream, rant, and rave when an assault isn't going like I expected, or laugh demonically and gloat when I've just crept up behind someone cloaked in AVP: hell yes!

I realy hate it when people shout at my software. End users simply do not realise the amount of effort programmers put into their work. It is not humanely possible to write bug free programs.

I've found a new game for unbridled shouting: Mechwarrior 4: mercanaries.

"SHOOT HIM YOU IDIOTS!"

"MOVE! MOVE! MOVE!"

"DON'T OVERHEAT NOW"

"POWER UP YOU STUPID THING!"

baldur's gate I swear at the targets all the time. dungeon keeper, I act very playful, inviting enemy heroes into my deathtraps. mechwarrior, I act panicked. "turn around! turn around! fire! fire! . . .run!!!" tiberian sun I make little observations - "wow. that colony line just killed 200 of my men."
same with warcraft 2.

Plus, of course with a mic. :D

All the time, especially in Championship Manager. There's just something about that text commentary that makes me hurl abuse at my cheating bastard of a PC. Especially when the ref disallows a goal.

I tend to shout at the screen, as in 'Nooooooooo, my team should have won that match, they're better!!!!!' or 'stop pissing me off you crap team, do better!!!'

The only time I talk "at" my screen was when they added the voice communication feature to CS, and that was just merciless taunting of those I has just killed (regardless of how poorly I was doing overall). Otherwise, I'm quiet to the point of not responding to real people when they ask me something, or taking about ten sections for the question to make it through the queue so that my brain can process it.

You must be a realy good Mechwarrior. When I played Mechwarrior4 the first time my lancemates outclassed me despite the fact that I am a Battletech and Mechwarrior veteran for six years.

Only the first two apply to the lancemates, the second one normally aimed at my second lance which is hanging around at the atart point. I have shouted the last two at lancemates a couple of times though, but they are mainly for me. Heat management can be a bugger.

Also this is on Normal difficulty so i assume the lancemate AI is tailored to such.

But the game isn't too hard. If you have a fairly good aim you can take out your opponent quite efficiently, or you can take out his weapons and have some fun.
