Bout the only thing I can think of. Some secondary effect causing a weakening of the acceleration compensators in a tiny part of the ship. Wouldnt' be a total loss as we've seen the things do better, but its something like taht or we toss out the scene

I am sorry if I annoyed you, I was trying to get my point across in as little time as possible and due to the rushing it became disjointed.
It's not the speed or even the argument so much that got me pissed, it was the use of smileys and partonizing attitude.
2. I refuse to accept the idea that one or two fighter launched torpedoes imparted enough K.E., with or without warhead detonation, to shake the entire Battle Station. Just as you have repeatedly told me, it is just too massive. If here-in lies our disagreement, then I am sorry to have wasted your time, because I will not accept such a notion.
In canse you missed it, I don't support it either, I think the scene should be thrown out because even if we go by smaller flexible sections the damn things shouldn't have moved it.

It's a fucked up sequence, and though I think the "EMP" scenario is higly unlikely as ships hit my ion cannons don't seem to have such porblems, its that or chuck the evidence wholesale.

Ray shields have no affect on torpedoes, only lasers. Hence: "The shaft is ray-shielded so you'll have to use proton torpedoes." by Jan Dodonna in ANH.
But ray shields do absorb energy, and the torpedoes release a lot of energy. I think the point of Dodonna saying that was that the torpedoes could pass thru the ray shield but energy shots could not.
