Al Sharpton!
I could just see him ryhming about how fresh Vader is. I think your all over estimating the average citizens common sense, Vader would when easily just because he looks cool.

I would vote for Vader. It would nice to have a president that could eliminate America's enemies with a thought.

If Vader was running for President, I don't think he would give a rats ass about whether I would vote for him. I wouldn't have much choice:
Me: Man, Vader sucks. I'm not voting for him.
Vader (who come on tv and makes a slight motion with his hand): Don't forget to vote for me
Me (after a second): Yes, I musn't forget to vote for Vader.

I would totally vote for vader. Many, many reasons, With Vader as the president, with his knowledge (Rudimentary though it may be) Of the inner workings of massive super starships and hyperspace, surely our scientists would be able to expound upon his base knowledge and soon we would be a galaxy-spanning civilization. Plus, the war in iraq would go much more smoothly, IMHO.
perhaps he may even be able to begin triaining of new Sith warriors! (eventually someone would Jedi-ify it) and we'd be living star wars! What fun!
(P.S. would it not be Spammy McSpammerson?)
