Just what the hell is that suppoded to mean?
Do you doubt the identity of the man in the tape?
Do you question the ability to be certain of identity, by these intelligence sources?
Or did you just want to spew some anti "fill in the blank" retoric?
Just who, if ANYONE, is claiming it is NOT OBL on the tape?

The faked theory has no major backers, and the rest are split between the "He's dead, but make a lot of tapes" (like Dr. Oblivion in the movie "Vidoedrome.") crowd, or the "He's still alive and kicking and flipping off Uncle Sam" bunch.
So which are YOU? Dead or Alive?

Biometric data, voice pattern analysis.
Knowing where, (if anywhere,) you hid those items we are looking for, and exactly who you are are, are different types of questions, that use two different types of methods.
Given that it IS possible there are no WMDs to find, they may never find them.(DUH!)
Given that OBL is/was a very real person, and the pictures and other recordings we have of him, it is so much easier.
His identiy does exsist. This makes it more findable than somehing that may notexsist. (DUH!)
Most importantly, OBL is not trying to HIDE his identity, but to FLAUNT it. This make finding a posative ID easier. (DUH!)

I'm not blanket rejecting it out of hand, I'm just asking if theres any additional evidence that hes still alive. Its certainly not unreasonable to ask if there is any OTHER evidence besides what the government gives us, espicially when one takes into account that the government has repeatidly lied to the public, when it suits its needs, over the last 40 years.

The credibility of the US goverment has suffered because of the second persian gulf war. Now everything they say is taken with a grain of salt.

Bush needs a boogyman like Laden who he can use to bag more votes. Of course Americas reputation in the rest of the world has plummeted but Bush does not care.
