The library dosn't contain anything on that subject that you don't allready know. Except it fills in a few importnat details.........

1) The gems that contain the souls of the fael are currently stored in a vault in the capital of the sun-elven empire.

2) Nothing is known about their magic, simply because very few who faught a mage that used it has every survived, and this was a long time ago. But it's rumured to be related to transfiguration or bardic song.

3) About a century ago, an attempt was made to steal those soul-gems by some drow. The attempt failed.

It's been a few hours, a few more might reveal more info.

Spark has spend this time studying rituralized magic.

There is a librarian, and the books are organizied alphabeticly by subject.

Spark isn't there, the librarian says he left, just after asking one of the scribes of copy a page from one of the books for him. You also owe the scribe 5 silver.

I pay the scribe 5 silver.

I then go and look through the spell book library.

You enter the spellbook library, and start drooling.

You can find a spellbook with everyspell listed in the PH and/or Tome and Blood recorded inside. They are also all written in the same style, so you don't have to figure out the mages writeing with every spell.

I send Quoth out to see what Spark is doing, and then Igo to the spell library and copy out all the cantrips, arcane eye, detect scrying, sepia snake sigil, and any of the base stat modifiers I may have missed (fox's cunning, owl's wisdom, etc.)

According to page 155 of the players handbook, copying a spell from another spellbook takes the entire day. It also costs 100gp per page.

In other words, you may each copy ONE spell, and it'll cost you.
