So how much more powerful than Obi-wan is Mace again? Watching the earlier Obi-wan fights was a bit crazy, but Mace? Deary me. And, Mace kills the Giant Hammer. Oh, the poetry...

Take a look at them and then speak: They couldn't depress that far down in front of them to target it. I doubt the railgun variety has sufficient power to kill it as it took several pounding at a single building to take it out, and as for the missile version, I doubt you want anything that powerful going off that close to your army.

Yeah, Stormtroopers have that too (see cross-section of a stormtrooper helmet in the original Visual Dictionary)- that they can't figure this out for star pilots irks me more.

Unless ... *huge supposition time*

the displays as seen in the X-Wing series (particularly X-Wing Alliance) are actually taken to be 'official', and since the canon doesn't actually show them, they may be projected on the pilot's helmet.
Ahem.

Even if Mace's power doesn't necessarily jive with how he was in Geonosis, that was totally fucking sweet.

Actually Chapter 12,13 seemed to me as a soldier to soldier battle, no vehicles except that transport which got shot down and the hammer. Why such a battle I have no idea.

Also the effect of the hammer is interesting: it not only pounds, it also causes some deep slope where people fall into the previous attack, disabled or not. Scary.

Chapter 14 was also interesting. Sabre construction, cloaking devices.

Yes, it's a little strange, but it proves that ships do have that function.

As far as I know, there is no specific mine that produces lightsaber crystals. You can find sutable Crystals everywhere.

(Jaina Solo even made her own crystal)

EDIT: Athegan crystals are just considered to be of better quality than most.

(Andur Sunrider seemed to think they'ed be a good gift for master Thon)

Adeagan crystals, not Athegan.

I laughed my ass of when Yoda mind-tricked Captain Typho in chapter 15. Seeing him do that just to get his way was just priceless! :D

The way he talks kind of gave it away though.

Anyhow.....

Why do those Chameleon droids have such piss poor accuracy?
Could it be an effect of their cloaks?

(The droids failed to even scratch Padme or Threepio, and they fired on Padme's coat, thinking it was her, failing to put a single hole in it.)

Tonight I caught up with the last couple of S1 episodes, as well as viewed up to Chapter 15.

Mace's TK combat in Ch 13 was a little hard to believe, but fortunately wasn't anywhere near as bad as I thought it would be. It was actually pretty cool, and was a nice change of pace to see a Jedi relying totally on TK for combat. Plus the animation during that sequence was actually good, surprisingly. ;)

However...

In my opinion the general art design for the series is still simply too ugly and far from the actual charater appearences.

Tar-whatfuckingever really needs to just stop. I know that "more is better," but he far too often exceeds the limit and just puts droids/lasers/ships/troops/bombs over every square inch of space, and it just all looks rediculous.

Why is it hard to believe, exactly? Its consistent with alot of canon and official examples of Force ability (and thats not even accounting for the fact Mace is a Jedi Council Member who is considered to be on par or nearly on par with Yoda)

Yeah, you're right. Maybe it was just the sheer amount of it as a first time exposure thing.

For me; as long as I rationalise it to think that it was Mace using TK then that is acceptable, but if it was Mace using his actual fists, well that's like a grey area for me.

It was most definately TK. Without his lightsaber it was his one real weapon at the time, and besides, Mace Windu is head of the Jedi council...I'm sure he didnt get there by knitting sweaters. He must be considerably powerful.

Windu, along with Yoda and others, are among the senior members of the Jedi Council. I don't believe that it has an actual "head."
