Movies are not IRL. They should not be like IRL. Thus, something resembling a plot is nice. Further, the whole "nice shoes, wanna fuck?" thing is unappealing to me.

What do you do when you watch porn? Do you sit down and watch a porn all the way through, expecting to be entertained? Do you jerk off and then turn off the movie as soon as you're done cleaning up the jism? Or do you use it as a form of foreplay and background while having sex with a significant other?

I'd guess that the VAST majority of porn-watchers fall into the second category, for which a plot is superfluous, or the third category, for which a plot should be extremely sparing, preferably camp or humorous, and in general amount to nothing more than a terse setup for the sex scene.

I don't know, especially since you did have people agreeing with you as well.

I mean a good plot helps make anything enjoyable, or failing that, parody some over hyped franchise. I mean Gladiator comes out, make a gay porn version of those scenes they didn't show us in the original Sparticus "some folks like snails and oysters". I'm sure that there are enough scenes that we know occured in enough movies/books that the porn industry could probably make a small cottage industry off of it, for just about any person's tastes... anne rice, 1001 arabian nights, etc seem almost lifeless without the sex scenes, not to mention books of blood only expanding hellbound heart, and rawhead rex, completly ignoring all of the other stories, and everything that happened in them.

I do a combination of the first two. Should I be in the minority.. well.. why the hell am I debating this?
