I don't think I'd do too well in a UFC fight for the simple reason that UFC still has rules. UFC may be "no holds barred", but it's not anywhere close to "no techniques barred". For example I wouldn't be allowed to use eye gouges, throat strikes, groin shots, knee stomps, and many other such simple but effective unarmed fighting techniques. If I were allowed to use every trick in my book I'd do quite well, I have a solid background in various martial arts but my main advantage is way too much real life experience.

Also of great importance is mindset, how squeamish are you, will you hesitate in going for the kill, can you deal with crushing someone's throat and watching him gag to death, will you shy away from using brutal fight ending techniques, that kind of stuff. A person could have 5 black belts and know 50 ways of killing a man, but if he's unwilling to use what he knows or hesitates in a fight he's fucked.

I walk away for a while and miss the action!

Okay, I had envisioned a no holds barred contest in the octagon. So no surface to air missles, steel chairs, plasma rifles or grenades, etc. are allowed. BTW, do they bring these things to UFC. Hell no! This isn't WWE!

From what I have read I probably would be very cautious around Weemad, IG-88E (not the droid) and Mr. Bean; there experience in martial arts or combat would make them worthy fighters. I've just started to learn a hybrid style of clinching, grappling and kickboxing but I'd be creamed.

I remember talking with David and he has some martial arts experience of his own (I believe kickboxing and grappling???) and thus, I think he might be the dark horse of the tournament (David, the real person--not the transformer or monkey avatars)

Kelly, do you have any martial arts experience. We've never really talked and I most certainly wouldn't give you the title of creampuff. I'd have to see you guys in person to determine who gets the creampuff award (hmm..maybe Azeron?)

No, but I've always wanted to. Currently I'm trying to get back into shape. I may take some after I build up a little.

Most of the time, I hide behind someone bigger than me.

Don't wait another minute! Find a good club/gym with a great instructor and you'll be able to mop the floor with these bums! Just go easy on me when you do!

Already been to the club for a month now. Feeling better, just haven't lost any measurable weight yet. However, I am lifting pretty good. I have strong legs. ;)

Strong legs are important for the "woman on top" position :)

Is this a gym or a martial arts club?

What helped me lose weight was to start exercising in the early morning, eat a large breakfast and then have progressively smaller meals as the day went on. After six pm I'd eat only veggies and fruits. No chips, donuts, cookies, cakes, burgers, etc.

But it sounds like your training is coming along quite well! I wouldn't want to grapple with you and then have a scissor lock applied to me with your legs! (or would I 8) ?? **Sorry Kelly, I don't mean to be a dawg!**)

It's a gym and we go early in the morning before work. I don't eat too much anyway and definately not too fatty. So, my food intake is ok. I just need to exercise.

Hm, scissor lock is fun. ;)

Once I started eating more in the morning I didn't have the urge to snack on junkfood during the day. That helped alot.

We should workout together and train for the SD.Net superbrawl! But if we had to square off against one another then all bets are off!

I couldn't see myself in a no-holds-barred fighting match, because I'm not combat-trained. I know caveman fighting - take big thumpy, go thump on bad man's head. But I don't know too many people who would look at me and go, "Yeah. I think I have a much better chance against Jaws over there. I'll take him on first."

And poor, poor Kelly. That's the fault with us tall people. We need binoculars to see way, way down to where you would be ineffectually showing your bombs, and might accidentally tread on you while wandering about the ring wondering where our opponent is, and thus win purely by coincidence. :)

I'm not THAT short, Lag. I think my height is actually about average for women now. 5'7"

Hmm...so in a physical contest, I'd actually have to fear the 'Antilles Figure-Four Leglock' or the dreaded Genital Headbutt of Death...hmm.

Well, this is UFC, but even with that many weapons I can still crush your puny armies. Earth would be reduced to a smoking cinder, but that's irrelevant so long as I win ;)

Seraphim rocks. I think my favorite character is Miho, though.

You know, with that, we probably have nearly enough information to put a guesstimate sketch together on you. I have a friend who draws people in 'anime' form. He's pretty good at it, even though he made MINE look like I was a sleek pansy and not a tall, jagged-build German. Is all Japanese art supposed to make people look like they're about two inches thick at the ankle?

On your question Lag no idea

On the general question it would be relativly intresting
