Benjamin Franklin was never President, and he's on the $100.

Hamilton and Franklin, however, were probably the two most brilliant of the Founding Fathers--even more so than any of the Presidents that generation spawned.

Sacagawea was obviously never a president, nor was Susan B. Anthony. However, I also dispute their worthiness to be placed on forms of currency.

Then again, of the Founding Fathers, he and Jefferson had possibly the greatest effect on post-Revolutionary America than any other man. Considering that Hamilton saved our hash financially, he deserves to be on some currency if anyone does.

No I agree, I would have Hamilton remain on the currency, the country might have been a tobacco farm like Jefferson wanted if not for Hamilton.

Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait.

Wait.

Is anyone on this thread arguing that Hamilton should not be immortalized on American currency?

I don't think so. In my opinion, if anyone deserves to be on money, it should be Mr. Big Business himself.

I don't think you'll ever see Darwin on a US note ;)
