open in the system, kick the blowers into high gear, and feed in the
gas from a 500 PSI set of containers..."

"My god.....so simple, so ruthless, I overlooked it totally. We probably
have some mixed stocks of gas that isn't imperial issue, the only problem
is getting it to life support."
"And ensuring uniform distrubtion. Some of the aliens the Rebs employ may be immune to some of the gas. And we can't have unaffected areas having warning and getting to their own masks now can we?"
"I dont think anyone will be immune to nerve gass.. or we could always use a mix of poisons so nothing could ever be immune... We just have to make sure that we dont mix reactive chemicals together while they are still anywhere near us"

MKSheppard wrote:"Tricky, walking all the way up to the comm towers and placing explosives on them, but hey, we're Storm commandos, and they pay us the big bucks for that"
"Hmm... good point, sir. Perhaps we could set up heavy mortars aimed at the towers and then fire them by radio."

"I think we could manage that. And if we can take control of the CC and isolate the rest of the base, the gas gets even worse...those that do die still die, and those that don't get to see their comrades die and be stuck amongst the bodies with no way out...until they get blown to something less than their constiuent atoms."
529 leaned back, a plot already forming in his head on how to take control of the Rebel Command Center...real quiet-like.

"There will always be survivors of a gas attack. Sheer dumb luck assures that. If the gas only causes 20-25% casualties, we still come out ahead. I don't like to do it, but we can use two teams, one to hit the command center and one to secure the hanger, using a rolling gas cloud to trap people between us."

529 looked up.
"Sir, look at that map again. We can secure the hanger well enough while on the way to the command center, and everything we need is right there...both generators, the armory, the hanger itself...hell, even their life support is one quick det charge away from the auxgen! This should be a piece of cake,
if we can secure their CC before they can react."

"Shock action, boys. I wonder how fast they'd react if they lost the
comm tower and control tower, and found that their base was filling
with gas; and oh yeah, there's this small matter of a bunch of maniacs
attacking us through the gas, all within 5-10 seconds of them all."

"I suppose I could carry enough proofing agents and antitoxins in case somebody is retarded enough to get poisoned by the stuff... which reminds me, you guys have been going your NAPS treatments, right? If you want to play with fire, you'd best have heatproof underwear on..."
147 turned to face their leader.
"... and Boss, do we have any Plexes? We could boresight a bunch of them, point them at the comm towers and dishes, then jury-rig them to fire on remote control so all of us can get in on the action... although this plan, like so many others, is going to suffer from the problem they ALL have in common - they're too good. Nobody but the zero-gee guys can touch us, maybe not even them, and I'll bet the turncoat bastards in their ranks know about us. Perhaps we could disgusie ourselves as Rebel reinforcements activated when some pirate ship buzzes them, then infiltrate and penetrate, then shoot and loot and make it look like a case of... whaddyacallit, internal struggles? Would kriff up Rebel morale, knowing that bases like that can tear themselves apart, the bastards go on the magic carpet ride to hell, and we laugh all the way to the bank. 'Course, I'm just a medic, so what do I know?"

"Good point on the Plexes, we can probably find some in our vast store
that're untraceable to us, perhaps some of the older models the planetary
governments are dumping onto the market? With boresighting it wouldn't
matter how shitty the guidance systems are."

"Good points all, but this isn't a Political Gain Operation, just a simple
hit and run. We'll let the rebels wonder who the hell toasted their base,
and we'll have leads on whoever's supplying those MagPulses to the
Rebs, you may get your wish for a PGO pretty soon."

"Jamming, too. There isn't any way to jam a blaster bolt. I suppose you could do the same thing with the rocket mortars, but ballistic guidance would be a tad too inaccurate for our purposes unless we "borrowed" an arty planner, and they'd pick up any terminal guidance for the bombs. Antisensor missiles might be good too, but I doubt we'd be able to steal the good ones in large quantities... Plus, the Plexes are man-portable and are supposed to be able to take out an AT-AT..."

"Heh, yeah, Boss, that'd be great. Maybe we could hijack a shipment of the stuff, and turn it on them too. Let them see how they like being hoist by their own petard... which reminds me, I gotta go make sure we got enough of the chemical defence stuff."

"I have an idea. While the rest of you are inside chumming it up with the Rebs, I can sneak out, place a mortar or Plex in position, go back inside and trigger it, and then we carry out the aforementioned nerve gas attack."

Sheppard interrupted.
"What about simply doing this:
Half of you parachute outside the ship
to set up the plexes and the nerve gas
in the air intakes
The other half waits inside the ship, buried in garbage
(hey, you've got fully enclosed airtight suits, so what the
hell does it matter)
when the rebels start running for their lives to get their
gas masks, that's when you bust forth and start
killin peope."

"I don't like splitting the squad sir. We can all parachute in, conduct a recon and set up the launchers, infiltrate through one of the tunnels or bunkers, remote fire the launchers for a diversion, and then gas and blast our way in."

"Well now that that's all done with, disperse sickbags, I have a meeting
with the Surface Marshal at 0900 hours. You know where the armory
is, have fun. And don't fuck this one up."
With that, Sheppard left the room.

454 looks to the Lt. for the OK signal to order the men out.
((assuming that it's given))
"Alright ladies, you heard the man! Let's get to the armory. Move out!"

"Alright lets do this right! Sergeant, I want an equipment check in one hour, then we will go get our cover stories. 424, draw coms and scanners that can't be linked to us. 312, draw general demo take 735 with you. 529, you 661 go through the sidearms and carbines to make sure they are clean. Draw pistols for everyone, set up two carbines with grenade launchers, draw four carbines, a repeating blaster and let's take the 98I rifle. 147 check your medic gear, then find the sergeant to draw gas grenades. Patch and I are going to get our armor for this mission. We'll meet in the squad room recheck everything in an hour and fill in what we need. Any questions? Move out!"

"YES SIR!!!"
And 424 takes the relevant non-imperial make scanners and comms from the armory(not explicity listed)
