You're lucky, he looks to be in pretty good shape. Most dogs that I've seen that live into the double digits have a myriad of health problems. My grandmother's dog has one of his eyes swollen shut, open sores all over his back, one of his legs doesn't function properly; gruesome stuff, really.

She should put that poor animal down. Those sound like Older Spaniel or Retriever ailments...common also are malignant spinal tumors. Poor guy must be in constant pain.

Indeed, a Golden Retriever. Poor guy's probably near death anyways; she probably should have put him down a couple years ago.

Never been a problem with my dogs. We had a 16yr old German Sheperd throw back (Tall and Long) who had arthritis and a baseball sized tumor on his leg. 14yr old mutt who went blind on account of unnoticed Pancreatis that induced Diabettes.
