I've been enjoying the hell out of the game. I especially love the starfighters. However, I will chime in with Chardok on this one. The maps are toooo small. As soon as I get in a starfighter, if I do a strafing run, the next thing I know I'm getting a warning about leaving the battlefield. Another thing is the blast radius of explosives. So far probably my favorite class is the Imperial Pilot (go figure) because not only can I run up and make a turret or fix the droids, plus the health ammo packs, but the grenade launcher he has. However, if I don't have a direct hit, then I'm probably fucked because it has a slow reload. Either way though, I'm enjoying and my guildmates are into it also.

I'm with a modding team, and we're going to make several maps when an SDK is released, in addition to adding the Yuuzhan Vong to the game.
There will be at least one map dedicated to starfighter battles...

And likely a Death Star map. Here's my 3ds Max model of a Death Star surface:

Did you use Greeble plugin or displacement map for that? Those two make a good mix for hulls and such.

Well, the DL-44 is already in there, albeit in wussified form...

Promise me you'll scrap most of the new weapons in here, revamp the blaster bolt speeds/damage, and put in most of (or all, if you could manage) these blasters:
I'll send these all to the team, but no promises

We're gonna do the Vong first, then worry about revamping the other side.

The DL-44 IS a wussy weapon. Han Solo's DL-44 is tricked out and is way more powerful than the normal one.

shame I know nothing about modding. I can give critiques on the maps, though. If you guys go serious on the modding, I want in the beta and shit. I'm good at finding exploits and the like, so I can help you stick corks in your code-holes....and whatnot...

That's because one detonator > hallways

, though from what I'm hearing the game balances doesn't = that.

WHOA!

Where'd you get all those pics? I've been looking all over for decent piccies of SW blasters, for various reasons, and I've never been able to find any good pics of the props... I found one for the E-11 awhile back, but it was a very long time ago and I forgot the site... I'd appreciate it if you could toss me the URL...

No. Closer to 1932. You should get it now.

I'm rather surprised you didn't simply right-click on the pics and go to properties to find the URL.

Only sniper units can call them in. You need to switch your secondary weapon to the recon droid (default key is G). Then, right click and move the droid around. Left click fires a pretty useless blaster, but the right click starts a countdown for an orbital strike. If the droid isn't blasted to hell and gone, then anyone in the immediate area will have a bad day.

Totally off-topic: why didn't he die a horrible death instead of just being badly burned?

His strength in the force is what mostly keeps Vader alive and what kept him alive right after sustaining those injuries.

Losonti basicly covered it...you press G or whatever your key for switching secondary weapons is, then use the secondary weapon button (you know, the usual for tossing grenades) and you'll launch a probe. You can fly around and shoot people (fun to shoot yourself, too

) or press secondary fire to start a five second countdown, after which a couple turbolasers from orbit will hit the probe. It helps fighting vehicles or if you want to take down a group of enemies.
