By not restraining their emotions, and having actively work to keep natural, useful compnents of themselves like fear and anger in check, they are able to exert their full potential with much less time, training, and effort. Whenever a supposedly lightside Jedi says fuck it, and lets their feelings guide them, they tend to kick more ass.

"This above all else, to thine own self be true." "Know your enemy, and know yourself" yadda yadda yadda. Most light siders are way to busy denying that certain things are normal to have any true awareness of who they really are.
There isn't a question of a doubt that along the way, the Light siders has lost their way, being more confused by the application of their powers rather than force study. However, it may not be an intrinsic view of the Force, but rather, its practioners.

Ted C observations is also echoed in I believe Hindu mythology, although I'm not sure whether the book I read it from is a non biased one. Evil always appear more powerful because it comes directly from the raw forces of nature, but to mishandle such power can easily destroy oneself(Hanuman the demon who was so strong, that he accidently killed himself with a single blow), but creation is a painstaking process that is just as powerful as destruction.

Hanuman, the monkey man?

He killed himself? Ouch. I am not an expert in Hindu mythology, but here I thought he was just a leader of the furry folk who hung out with Rama (another avatar of Vishnu like Krishna).

You also have to ask yourself "What is power?"

After all, which is more powerful: A sword, or a pen?
The saying goes: "The pen is mightier than the sword"

The dark side has the power to corrupt and destroy.

The light side has the power to help, to protect, to heal, etc.

So the question is: Where do your priorities lie?

I don't think either side itself is any more powerful than the other. They're just the two sides of a single coin.

Dark side gives a quick initial boost to it's user, but then again few can really master it. Light side is slower but anyone who just sticks with it will probably reach mastery eventually (well, this is the impression I've got, but no, I don't have any real proof for this).

All in all, both sides claim to be the most powerful one, but I think they are both wrong. Sort of like any two other religions.

The Sith gain Understanding through Power. The Jedi gain Power through Understanding.

Same Destination, different paths.

I think that the dark side of the force seems stronger, because the sith are more willing to use the force.

The lightning fried Vader's life support systems.
Where was this stated or confirmed? SOTE quite clearly states Vader needs the DS to even breath comfortably, let alone still live. Killing the Emperor means Vader rejects the DS, Anakin returns... and lo, dies soon after, because the Force that had been sustaining him is now no longer available.

Oh? Can you refresh my memory, what page says that? I dont recall Vader needing the force to keep him alive, I do recall him trying to use the dark side of the force to sustain him outside of the suit.
