Going back to the original topic, how effective would THX-1138 be on Vong bioorganisms?

I'm sure the Vong crab armour would magically secreat some kind of mucus that renders the toxic material harmless ...3rd Impact wrote:What's wrong, Warmaster? What's wrong?NecronLord wrote:Going back to the original topic, how effective would THX-1138 be on Vong bioorganisms?
From what I've read of the NJO (Not much, I have to admit) I don't recall the YV using any form of sealed armour for their ground infantry.
If I remember right (not having actually read the books) their armor was violently alergic to the pollen. The Vong themselves were not effected but their living armor which protected them from small arms fire and I think even lightsabers to an extent could be killed by exposure to it.Kazuaki Shimazaki wrote:No, they can't even defend themselves against a "boffen plant pollen" or something.
Didn't it usually end up strangling them in its death throes, too? I remember they used pre-killed armour when the pollen was still a threat, probably to avoid any nasty side effects of an armour that dies in the field.SCVN 2812 wrote:If I remember right (not having actually read the books) their armor was violently alergic to the pollen. Real nice choice for your objective calc. "I'll choose the feature which produces the smaller estimate!" A more honest assessment would use the domes as a lower end and the bridge facet as a higher end.NecronLord wrote:Rather than assuming that is the standard bridge tower of the ISD and Excecutor types, I will assume that it uses the standard globe, but not the standard bridge - due to this bridge being significantly smaller in relation to its globes than the Imperator's.
Here's where I got it from (At the bottom of that section: "Studies of the proportions of the star destroyer models reveal that the sensor globes have a diameter of approximately 41m."). I don't have any reason to dispute that number, anyway, night.Illuminatus Primus wrote:As an addendum: the ISD domes are really that small compared to the vessel's length!?
