That controller however.... ugh, I thought the Gamecube controller was bad....
You thought the GameCube controller was bad?
And not the US XBox controller?

The shoulder buttons on the Gamecube were awful, but the entire XBox controller sucked.

Damn, just when I leave for school they get the video up.
I want the high quality version.

Hmm, not so long ago I felt like buying a gaming console (second handed PS2) because its been a while since the old NES. Good thing I waited because this thing looks sweet
Maybe Nintendo can do better (we'll see) but as far as I can tell, the Xbox is pwned.

and I'll be damned, those tech demo's and the game previews looked awesome.
Gundam World in particular.....it looked like a fucking movie

We should start a 'Laughable Console Ideas from Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo' thread.

ALOT of information about the next nVidia chip, this thing is turning out to be a monster, I wonder besides disabling one of the Cell's 8 cores(it will ship with 7) what Sony will have to do to keep yields very high.

So is it going to be all wireless controlers then? I suppose by now they've made them work well enough, but I guess I'll see.
My biggest fear is my idiot sister. Without a cord to attach it to, she'll probably end up losing the damn thing. Or in one of those frequent "I'm going to clean up
everything and not actually worry about what any of it is" sweeps my parents love to make the controlers will vanish as well.
I have a feeling I'm going to have to keep the controlers locked in my room.

The Gamecube one was the most awkward feeling controller ive ever handled (not that I couldnt get used to it after an hours worth of play but still...) Xbox controllers (both the original large one and the standard smaller one) are excellent IMO, they are my favorite design since the Dreamcast controller.

Fuck the controller. Who cares what it looks like when you can have games that, in-game, are BETTER than the FMVs we used to have in the best games on the PSX and PS2.

True. And we just got CoD in space, Killzone 2

I nearly had an orgasm just watching that video. If I played the actual game and it's even half as pretty, I'll probably be on a natural high.
The first Killzone was pretty too, but it lacked gameplay. Hopefully this thing will have both looks and gameplay. It certainly has the former with that Saving Private Ryan like intro.

Seems analysts find the Xbox 360 isn't the start point for the next generation, but the PS3 will be because of Sony waiting that bit longer to add more finishing touches to it.

Seems MS wanted to be first out, but didn't take into account that this isn't a race for first next-gen console.

I think this article nailed it.
I really have to see what the Revolution is before I pass judgement on Microsoft vs Nintendo. But Microsoft vs Sony...lol.

The Revolution is the least able hardware-wise, but it remains to be seen how well the gaming support is, though with Ninty, it'll likely be good still.

Although we really don't know that yet. I suspect it might have a weaker processor with a good graphics card. I dunno.
Come on Nintendo, don't let me down
Aries claimed it outperformed the XBox 360 graphics-wise but not the PS3...gah...was he fake? Was he correct? We'll see...

Meanwhile, all of my Sega Saturn, and Gamecube games work just fine,

BTW, with that stupid caddy sliding in and out, it's impossible to clean
the lens on the PS2

Nitendo is saying that look at what they've done without those massive numbers, saying it may not have massive numbers, but has the games to back itself up.
Their comparing the GBA to PS2 in units sold.
Also, DS > PSP.
EDIT: Pie chart shows the hand held market throughout the years... 94% Nitendo....
FUCk I love live.

Not that the lens has ever got dirty or should ever get dirty with the caddy configuration anyway. All my PCs have had that system and never had a faulty lens. Honestly, you're just trying to find problems here.

This refutes my point that a caddy has improved protection how?

Wait, I thought you were referring to a caddy in which you placed the disc, not a tray.

The full 2 hour demonstration is jaw dropping, but I should remind everyone how jaw dropping the PS2's 1999 E3 demos were and how far short of those demos the actual games fell.

The PS2 games met and surpassed the tech demos.
