Actually 1 1/2-1 1/2

Aieeeeee! Nerves.... First game today sucked, second game was just nerve racking... Good games though, I feel sorry for whoever gets Cosmosicus in the next round...

Straha, my man, first time I forgave you. Second time I will be mercyfull again. But the third time there will be no mercy. I will have something others have wished for a long time on this board (I'm sure you know what I am talking about  )

The name is COMOSICUS.

Oh, it's five games against each opponent? I thought it was five games total, one against each opponent. D'oh!

I had the same opinion myself in the beginning. Heck ... First game was a draw ... I said "don't worry". Next game I win and I take the third one too lightly, thinking it is out of the contest and just a friendly game with Straha to cure his hurt ego.

And I lost

Indeed, it sounds like it's going to be a long week...

Destruct got me cornered 2-0

We're playing one more game now to see if he wins straight!

He got me like a rusty knife. Very painful.

Right, I'm going to be going away for a while, as such I wont be around to whoop all your sorry asses so I'm conceding my current match and all future matches I play in untill I get back (when I'll come back with LEET CHESS FURY for a come from behind win.) That also means someone else has to pick up running the tournament, I'm sending the Matchup Data to Comosicus (happy now?). The data comes from the Program "Splendid City" which is pretty easy to use and is freeware.

EDIT: For the curious ones, the program can be found here.

"My first decision will be to create a Grand Army of the ..." ... wrong line

I would like to ask the players to send me the results by PM too. I do check the tournament thread, but I don't think it is a bad ideea to have a backup plan in case I miss something

As far as I can see, we have 2 matches finished till this very moment:

Comosicus - Straha (3-1) due to Straha's forfait
Destructionator XIII - Soontir C'boath (3-0)

Anything I missed?

EDIT:
I've disregarded the draw match between me and Straha, because I couldn't make the program to accept half points as score. Anyone could help me with this?

Another option would be to count victories as 2 points and draws as one point for each player.

I don't know if I got it right, but now I have the feeling that everybody should play all the 5 games with the partner and the winner would be decided upon final points (much like a soccer league would go). In this case all the points should be necessary to be awarded, because even half a point can make the difference. So perhaps 2 points victory, 1 point draw and 0 points defeat could serve the purpose well (and we can half the final scores to get back to the international scoring)

Please correct me if I got anything wrong.

I'm actually heading away for several weeks this Sunday, and while I will definately have access to a computer, I don't know how much time I'll have to play games. You can take my spot, Lenny, since you'll have a much better shot at winning the thing, anyway.

And yeah, I should've AIMed you about this. Mea culpa :(

For the multitude of time zones and schedules involved, I think 3 of 5 games is really pushing it.

1 game or 2 of 3 would be sufficient, I would think. (just to keep things moving)
