You can have dual pistols (only the basic pistols), dual micro SMGs, and dual sawed off. Thats it. Your automaticaly equiped as such.

I spent the time to become a hitman with dual micro SMGs because of how often thats all you have. Hitman with the MP5 is nice, but I can't always rely on it.

So far I'm a hitman with the following.

Silenced Pistol
Micro SMGs
MP5
Shotgun
AK-47
M4

Hitman with the M4 was really easy to attain by doing the "shoot out tires to gain skill" thing. I got MP5 and AK-47 on Hitman thanks to gang wars.
and the musci won't play, they still playing their own things instead of the mp3s that i put into the file.
Head in to the options menu and the audio area. Somewhere in there you should see something about user defined tracks. Look around and you should see "define new user selected tracks" or something like that. Click on it, let it do it's thing, select over to the MP3 channel in the radio (the one right after WCTR) and enjoy.

Yeah, MP5 and AK-47 hitman levels were easy to attain.

Getting Hitman on the M4 was rather fun. I hung around the air strip you own and managed to get the cops attention. I killed something like 50 cops, 20 FBI agents, 5 army grunts and stole a tank. All for the purpose of getting the M4 skill. There is one particular spot you can stay at and just mow through the enemy and level up your skill.

Hey, I stole a helo, flew it to LV, stole a Learjet, flew it to los santos, but never once have I gotten anymore flying skill. do I HAVE to go to pilot school before I will see an increase?

I don't know if you gain skill in flying like you do in driving. Some things don't require skill. Like sniper rifles.

You have to fly for a total of sixty minutes to get your pilot's certs. After that its all air-time in whatever plane you want to fly in.

As far as I can tell, yeah.
SPOILER

After you buy the abandoned aistrip at Verdant Meadows, you have to pass the mission Learn to Fly for Toreno, which consists of ten air missions. I've seen my flying skill rise fairly quick during them. More than during the times I used helis to move around at Desert.

END SPOILER
Has anyone had any problem with their mouse in San Andreas? Sometimes, the game won't recognize my mouse, like I move my mouse but the game doesn't respond. I'm inclined towards a bug, though I guess it can also be due to the PC being overloaded by the game. :? Weird stuff...

EDIT:
*Reads Mr Bean's post*
Oh... Nevermind the spoiler then.

FYI...

For some reason time in a chopper won't increase your Pilot skill, only fixed wing craft.

Yep. And boy did it take forever to do it. I don't remember it taking 60 minutes, but maybe they changed that for the PC version to avoid people trying to "cheat" their way to an early license. Though what good it will do you I don't know, since all you can get at the LS airport is the Learjet and Dodo, and SF will only yeild the Maverick. I guess you get more choice at the LV airport, but until you unlock the Desert regions anyway (and the airstrip isn't too long into it) you'll have that wanted level and the Hydras to contend with.

Do yourself a favor and become a hitman with the Desert Eagle. The magazine only holds eight rounds, but the only time that will be a problem is when you're fighting nine people.

It was quite fun going to Las Venturas early in the game to jack a Learjet and then flying it while dodging multiple incoming SAMs to gain flying skill.

Last time I checked it wasn't for sale.

It will (or should) be eventually.

Does the PC even do the lock on targeting thing, or is it just mouseaim? I know you can get that little green/yellow/red/black life indicator on people, but not that you can lock on. If you can't, what's the point of Hitman in anything outside of your 9mm, Sawed off shotgun, Tec-9 and Micro-SMGs (these for the dual wielding)?

I'll have to admit the lack of the "burnt out" look for destroyed vehicles and the general annoyance of my PC not being up to spec (and thus things getting laggy on me), as well as getting GTA:LC have had me not experiment with GTA:SA PC as much as I otherwise would have.

Lockon is for pussies with controlers. On the PC your skill increases your general accuracy and refire rate is all. Your ability to aim changes on your skill. When you start with the pistol you hold it gangster style and only aim if you crouch. Once you get higher levels of proficency you can hold the weapons professionaly and aim accurately while on the move.

For those that have played this far, question.

Has anyone thought to try and explore Liberty City when they were over there? You know, ignore the target, leave the Bistro and go exploring.

Far as I could tell you can't leave the Bistro, you start inside it.

Yes, but you go out back and there is a car and what looks like a way out of the parking area.

I especially love how your gang members got the same AI as the counterstrike hostages (maybe even worse) :)

Nope. Only way out is to cheat. If you look you could find a megajump cheat or something like that so you can clear the wall. There's also jumping with the help of hand grenades to propel you over.

KANGAROO is the code according to GameFAQs. Be aware that it's not all solid though, and if you fall through you'll fall a long way into a giant sea. It's kinda neat in a Twilight Zone kind of thing. If you head some direction (I forget which) you'll run into the San Fierro area around your garage where you get to wander around inside of it. But you're still trapped in the "void" until you kill yourself off or reload the game.

To explore Liberty, just shoot ahead of you with your weapons. You get sparks, it's good. You don't, it's not solid and you're gonna go for a swim.

Its a pitty they didn't completely port in Liberty City. When they wanted me to fly to Liberty City I was really hopping they were actualy going to let me go the whole way, land at the airport, and make my way to the Bistro. But alas.

Well now that I'm nearing the end (I checked a hint book to see this) I am begining to see some of what Carl was going through.

While in Los Santos CJ had to do what Tenpenny wanted because of the cops death. Then when Sweet was locked up CJ still had to do work. Why did CJ do stuff for The Truth after the debt was lifted? Because by then The Truth and he had become friends AND The Truth helped set up CJ with the men to work the garage.

Even when in San Fierro, CJ still isn't entirely off the leash. Tenpenny tracks down CJ and CJ still wants to keep Sweet alive. So CJ still has to run the errands.

Now by now CJ befriended Wuzzi. And with Wuzzi they are putting the hurt on whatever opperation Tenpenny and Smoke were running. This runs CJ afoul of Tereno. CJ does missions for Tereno to keep Sweet safe. In the process CJ also becomes heavily involved in realistate and is working with Wuzzi. All the Wuzzi missions make sense.

Then enter Tenpenny again. By now CJ should be able to tell Tenpenny to go fuck himself. Tereno is the sort to keep his word and Tenpenny is but small fish compared to Tereno.

After that, going back to Los Santos makes sense. Sweet probably sat in prison brooding over what happened. While he's a little too idealistic, he sees the problems that destroyed the Grove and wants to deal with them. CJ knows the reality of the situation, but also wants to remain loyal with his brother.

Of all the things that bug me, its CJ doing missions for Tenpenny in Los Venturas. It just doesn't add up.

Sadly, because there is already ample evidence that CJ is a cop-killer.

But, then again, if I've already been framed for killing one cop, I might as well kill the cops that are holding that over me...

CJ is a spineless retard bitch compared to the characters in the previous games ;)

Finished it yesterday. I'm still gonna play it further offcourse (try to unlock shit).

Anyone else find it odd your casino doesnt generate money? Or do you need to unlock something for that?

The game ended sooner than I tought actually. I expected to do a couple of missions with Torena going after your ass
