I keep getting beaten by Phalanx on the ship! Stupid marines and mermen slaughtered my party just prior....need to relevel my party now...glad I saved before that scene.

Yeah, you have to level up for that fight.

It helps to use heal2 during every turn of every battle on the ship.

Sand Golems are a pain! What level would you guys suggest for the run across the desert and onwards? And should I worry about cash?

I was in the high teens, low 20's when I made that run Nitram, though my part couldn't take on Sand Golems unless they was only one there.

If your gonna hit the desert, and not run away most fights, I'd say probably mid 20's?

As for cash? Oh yeah..bring cash...

Where your going to has realyl nice weapons and armor...you want them.

Which reminds me...I need to go kill things, and finish outfitting the crew with the best..Dalton needs a diamond axe....

Try equipping plenty of silver armor and bring along your best bruisers.

It would make life so much easier if you could drop party members at will.

I went to Agora and TF, got Iceberg, defeated Laird, returned through the desert, spent some more time in it levelling up, and all my chars were levels 22-24 when U was done. Phalanx wasn't that much of a problem, either. Just keep healing with Schala and doing magicks with Iceberg, and he'll go down eventually.

Another quick question, I'm probably a dickhead, but I'm missing the Grenzland reference, anyone care to refresh my memory?

Okay, I try to start up the game, and my monitor just goes black and shuts off. It usually does this when a game wants to fuck with my refresh rate. Anybody know how I can fix this?

Grenzland is the alternative name to The Frontier, a forum devoted to what SBers would call SDs and ASVSers STGODs. At the time of the game's conception (And most of the game was compiled within the first year anyway), there were a number of cross-posters between groups. Not so anymore. In fact, the leadership is far out of date.

Hit F4 when the monitor goes to black and it should go into windowed mode.
