Looks like 3 Inns.
The Shining Serpent: High class inn.
The Medusas Glare: Average inn. Looks somewhat well kept.
The trolls head: Gutter scum. Cheap thought.

I'll go to the "Medusa's Glare" then, and order something to eat and drink. And casually listen to what people are talking about, if possible.

Your given bread and ale. It's 3silver.
The conversation varies widely, the logging busness, gambleing, how bad the ale is, how good the ale is, etc etc.

I'll eat up the bread and drink my ale, and then walk through the city, look into some shops and then looks for his companions.

You see the seers shop, it's a run down old shack. You enter. There is dust everywhere, and the only object in the room is a table with 2 chairs, and a cat curled up and asleep.
I whisper "The seer must be out, we should probably wait here." I sit in a chair (if it's sturdy) and pet the cat, and seeing if there's anything else in the room.

Walking till finds the druid that followed them to the town.
"Druid, I must question your decisions during this crisis. honourable or not, I don't trust these Kobold, they can do no good, none of the wretched species. You must not trust them, either with your own safety or to adhere to any truce we may succede in getting with the villagers here. It wouldn't even surprise me if they had been doing some of the clear cutting themselves to bring themselves work. Do not trust them!"

The druid consideres your word.
"The kobolds are mercinariers in the purest sence, they do their masters will. They are scum, but they masters have proved themselvs loyal allies. Besides, we would know if they had done it."
I whisper "The seer must be out, we should probably wait here." I sit in a chair (if it's sturdy) and pet the cat, and seeing if there's anything else in the room.
There's a door leading to the back, and a few cabnets.
You start petting the cat. It purs, then.....
Cat: *purrrrrrr* "Hey, can you scratch behind my ears?"

"Sure" I scratch behind the ears for him. "So, how'd you get to talking? And would you happen to know where the seer is?"

"The talking part? Well, Ix, that's the seer, figured i'd be cheaper to get an assistant using an "awaken" spell then to hire one, or somthing like that. Anyway, he's out buying a fast horse because for variours reasons, we may be needing to leave town quickly. A little to the left?"

"Yeah, he and I went into the woods hunting Kobold before we found out about this. Now I'm trying to find out as much as I can about the Fael. So, what'd he come around to do?'

"Wanted to borrow a crystal for some or another reason. Somthing about the mayor."

The ale is bad, and you get a few nasty looks from some thug-looking types.

"Probably a crystal ball, scrying to show the mayor all the baddies. So how long till the seer gets back?"

I stumble across the cheap Tavern, and take a look into that one, too.
Upon seeing Tsaroth there, I walk to his table.

Grozny walks to the Shining Serpent, intent on getting a decent meal for once. Walking in, he sits and orders a gin and whisky, and a plate of boar.

Alyrium Denryle wrote:"And that will not happen. Yes, we can kill those 20 foot cats with arrows, but ours were also enchanted, they did more damage, and we only killed one. These villagers, have mundane arrows, and dont have our skill with a bow. If you can think of a way to trick them into fighting each other if talks break down, be my guest."
The Kobolds are mercenaries we might be able to bribe them. The tigers will take several volleys of arrow fire if they want to get into melee range. Massed arrow fire is deadly.

"Hello" Tsaroth said with a smile.
"Hmm... doesnt seem as if we are welcome in this establshment, and the ale is... well it isnt what I am used to. Come, on, I will buy you a decent, well rounded meal"
