The Medusas Glare: Average inn. Looks somewhat well kept.
The trolls head: Gutter scum. Cheap thought.

I'll go to the "Medusa's Glare" then, and order something to eat and drink. And casually listen to what people are talking about, if possible.

Your given bread and ale. It's 3silver.

The conversation varies widely, the logging busness, gambleing, how bad the ale is, how good the ale is, etc etc.

I'll eat up the bread and drink my ale, and then walk through the city, look into some shops and then looks for his companions.

The Kobolds are mercenaries we might be able to bribe them. The tigers will take several volleys of arrow fire if they want to get into melee range. Massed arrow fire is deadly.
