That sounds like a pretty spiffy idea to me. "Keeping the natives down" could be our motto :D. Although since I'm a corporate state I'm still going to sell tons of weaponry to whoever wants to buy it...
By the way, wasn't the basic idea of your state that you are constantly experiencing urban unrest or something similar? That would certainly make living nearby interesting.
Yeah, San Dorado is a hybrid of a Dredd-style megacity and a deep noir version of New York. I already have the corporate security, corruption, constant riots and an influential mafia, the occasional rocket attack by militias from a neighboring shithole country would fit quite handsomely :).

(Hell I wouldn't be surprised if someone in San Dorado sold them the rockets they shoot at San Dorado... It's just that kind of place...)

I think FUN will have to grow a lot more teeth than it had the last time round.

I actually agree. Fortunately, we'll have a head start on relations with the MESS, and Shep has managed to break my opposition to nuclear arms very effectively the last time he played :P

It doesn't pay to be nice in International Politics sometimes. There needs to be joint consultations and exercises and some other treaties and such. Roll out the nukes I say! (Now if Only I was a Tsardom :( )

Should I be getting a fleet of B-2 bombers, then? :)

At 2 billion a piece?! And that isn't even corrected for 2008 inflation! You are better off buying a couple of Arleigh Burke Flight IIAs or Tu-160s or B-1Bs or B-52Hs.

Don't worry. We have at least four Kingdoms in the FUN by default (Stas, Me, Shroom and you) if I'm not mistaken, which means we can field a decent deterrent. Not on the level of the US, of course (our economy is what, 50% of the US?) but this should be enough, especially if we get some Duchies on board.

Or Bear :D

And yeah. A fleet of strategic bombers, SSBNs, nuclear cruise missiles, ICBMs and an air defence network.

EDIT: we could buy the B-2 cheaper if we have a long production run, but I think some B-1Bs and B-1Cs or Tu-160s would be a batter investment.

Actually, with the new rules, Stas turns into an Imperium because he's a Senator and he was a Tsardom initially.

And I'm still with MESS, but I will step across the aisle often enough (the Slavic Confederacy comes into play).

Ah! Good, good. That means we can have a space program extraordinaire :D

Oh! Right, it seems relations between Byzantium and the FUN are so good we sometimes forget we're not officially allied yet ;)

Then again, there is that mutural defence agreement between the two alliances in the works...

Hell yes. We have less worries to deal with as well, for the obvious reasons.

Hell yes again. :D It's good for business, ensures stability and makes for excellent laughs. Not to mention, Shroom, I'm still interested in continuing BAM. There must be some degree of competition here. Expanding BAM to include other businesses will be great as well. Other FUN members are welcome to contribute.

Of course, all politicking aside, all our freedom loving peoples - in the FUN and MESS - just truly want to find peace, prosperity, and money! MONEY! MOAR MONEY! AHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

*starts throwing bills into the air*

BAMs, ISCAs, FASTAs, and whatnot. Yes.

Can we modify the BAM to include other airplane models that aren't merely Airbuses?

(In the next two weeks, I may be posting less frequently... so I hope we start this thing at a more conducive time.)

Well, it should be noted that Beowulf is likely to produce Boeings, while we are doing Airbuses. But add as you so wish.

We'll probably need an aerial version of the ISCA, with BAM being a mere constituent!

If you start an aerial ISCA, you will have to do your own maths though :P

... goddamn!

Well... if FASTA works out and we end up having space planes (for everyone!), I think there won't be a need for me to butcher mathematics with a pissant attempt at an aerial ISCA. From the Earth to the Moon! Going FASTA this Christmas!

Since I'm a former Shroomanian colony, I'd like to have something of an observer status at the FUN: not a full member, but still loosely affiliated in some manner. If that's okay with you guys -- no hard feelings if you don't feel like allowing a notorious weapons trafficking polity among the ranks of the upstanding peace-loving folk :).

Just don't instigate wars with your neighbours which might be less than sane that will lead to a FUN/MESS rescue.

We've used cobalt salted bombs before, you know.

Really, we like our fun. And damn, do we hate to have it ruined...so don't. Please.

Don't worry. An actual war would cut into profits, and that's bad for business. San Dorado will settle for lukewarm conflict instead ;).

I vote for SSNs with supersonic cruise missiles + supersonic strategic bombers.

 We already set the record for the fastest ever moving STGOD, and the fastest self-destroying one already in SD.Net. Let's hope we don't beat our latter record.

Sorry, that bit about FUN getting irate and sterilizing entire countries with salted nukes was supposed to be directed at SiegeTank ;)

Oh I know, but it needs to be impressed upon every new player, that being a dick spoils everyone's fun. 8)
