Following the destruction of a pirate ship attacking the KSE transport ship 'Deliverance' on it's way to Kokand space, Captain Fu of the command ship Red Dawn is to be awarded a medal of commodation by the Emperor of the Krytos. Many hope that this gesture will help to ease the recent tensions between the KSE and the NBA members.

In the interests of interstellar peace the KSE is extending an invitaton to ambassadors from all other starnations to the ceremony in which captain Fu will be commended. Following his commendation Admiral John Connor will be sworn in as Supreme Admiral of the KSN.

While we appreciate our ally's concern, we refuse to enter any military alliance with any nation allied with the Kokand Empire. We will continue free trade with any powers that are willing, and will accept imports fom everyone, as usual.

We would ask that nations allied with us, the Krytos Empire included, refrain from joining in an alliance with the Kokand Empire, or any Empire which is in a military alliance with them. We fear that the racist warmongering of the Kokand may lead to war between us in the future, and should that time come, we would like allies who can stand besides us.

While the events at the expo, and the following massacre, were certainly all part of an awful mistake, we are glad that they gave us an opportunity to see the Kokand Empire's true colors. They are brutal, using legal flim-flam to justify senseless, immoral murder. They allow their racist views of powers wihich are not "Normal" to guide their policy.

Once again, we ask our allies in the Krytos Empire from engaging in any military alliances with the Kokand or their allies, or at least assurance that in the event of conflict, we can count on our ally's assistance.

Rear Admiral Sturdy, manager of the Imperial Starfleet's procurement division today announced that the first live fire test of High Yield Strike System Four was fully successful. The massive warhead detonated deep underground after exceeding its threshold requirement. In a more controversial move he also announced the early launching of twelve Evolved Strike and Screen Destroyers to clear building slips for additional cruiser rate warships. The destroyers will be completed at fitting out piers, which lack the full facilities of a building slip. This is expected to delay commissioning by at least one month.

However the OU Goto Engineering Corporation has also been awarded a lesser contract. Which ever company is evaluated to have done better will likely receive a third contract. This railway will run from the ruins of Windhoek "Namibia" to central "Zimbabwe" near the ruined city of Gwelo. We expect quick completion with no major bridges to be built and generally flat terrain

As you like it. A tour of the city's many sights will be arranged for the ambassador upon arrival. Westinghouse had taken a gamble in winning the contact and prepositioned equipment on large naval freighters as soon as possible and moved to international waters off the neccessary coasts. They then moved swiftly to the ports, beginning to unload their material efficiently and quickly. The job would be done as quickly as possible, but it would also be done well.

As an added bonus, preliminary work on surveying the right-of-way for a future upgrade to magnetic levitiation would take undertaken. This mostly consisted of reinforced superconducting wires rather than the usual small wire that supported most tracks. A fibre-optic communications network would also installed alongside it. The cost would for the moment be trivial, but the savings in case Kokland would upgrade their track would be immense.

Kokand will fund a 100 kilometer line from Yaounde to the anchorage as Douala. However the Kokand railway and construction firm Serria Diablo already has won the contract to build a line from Khartoum to the northern edge of the Congo, and eventually to the many remaing riches of the Witwatersrand basin and elsewhere in southern Africa. We will have them run an extension to port Sudan, they have already begun work on the first phase of this operation and it should become available for your uses soon.

Kokand regrets that the NAU has issued such a warning without basis in fact. Incidents of piracy within our space remain significantly lower then the galactic average, and the past crisis with other star nations has been defused. We can see not justifiable point to such a warning at this time.

While there are plenty of planets and moons to go around today, in a three or four centuries ground space may become a rare commodity in this sector of space (especially if our research into the longevity vacine is successful.)

But in three or four centuries we will have grown outwards, and into a larger area of spac, thus making destruction of minor space today in-signifigant.
