Fucking arse-kicking. Smith rules.
Hrm... Smith talking about how probably something is and Skynet stating inevitability? How curious.

Now, who'll pay for my plane ticket to destroy Stravo's copy of R:TW? :P

WTF? Where did Smith get access to Skynet's blueprints from?

To quote Neo: "Woah!"

Kickass chapter, but I hope Abel isn't really dead in the Matrix world. Skynet vs. Smith is going to be awsome.

Bah, Stravo's in NYC, and as a recent thread showed, there's plenty of New Jerseyans at SD.net. We don't need someone from Hong Kong to come over here and do it. Fellow Stravo's fic loving New Jerseyans: unite! We must smash that CD!

?

I realize that Smith's infection turned the RL T-800s and T-1000s into his minions; but their Residual Self-Image in the Matrix, according to your own fanfic, was an Agent Smith.

Did he learn to sufficiently manipulate the code that he could change his clones into T-800s and selectively manipulate the control program for the AI Tanks and HKs but not the coded "shell"?

I must admit to a little dramatic license with the appearance of the T-800's and such in their natural states. Certainly has more impact than "And a hundred more Smiths showed up." But yes, Smith is manipulating them to look like their original selves for several reasons aside from dramatic effect, one of which is it's alot easier to infiltrate Skynet's forces if they look like their former selves. So the T-800 is inflitrating its own forces - when it was originally an infiltration unit itself.

Yeah I did like the Tank appearing and Kyle going "No kung fu is going to stop that."

And as I said kick ass to see another of your works getting updated in the middle of your love of Rome:TW.

Also for you people who want to smash Stravo's CD. Think.

Smash CD...Stravo goes either catatonic and produces no more work since he's gone mostly vegetable.

or

He goes, buys another, gets pissed he had to spend more money to acquire a game he already has and decides that screw writing...must play more Rome.

:P

Bah.

Is there any incentive to get you to write more of your Fanfics, Stravo? Money? :P

We all know those Smith-Terminators and Smith-HKs stand no chance against the God of the Machines! All hail the Machine God!

I thought this excellent fanfic was forgotten and sent to the trash heap. Thanks Stravo Keep up the good work man!!!

Amazing. I liked it that Reese actually reloaded is MP-5 rather than just whipping out another like Neo would.

Nice chapter ... It's more than a brawl, it's a clash of the titans.

Now, all it takes is a new chapter of Starcrossed and everything will be perfect.

....Daaaaaaaaamn.
Nice one, Stravo, I've been eyeing this since I stumbled over the thread...and promptly said 'WTF, how've I been missing this all this time?' Hmm...perhaps if we can put the Rome CD in a safe with a lock triggered by a chapter posting...

Well, Reese isn't related to Ratchet/Bert.

It's half past 4...

Bloody hell, I need sleep.

Anyway, I enjoyed that Stravo (all 24 chapters in one sitting), although perhaps not so much as Starcrossed and Twilight War. More of any would be welcome whenever though, except right now. Goodnight everyone.

To Stravo:

I only have a few problems with this fic. For one, after watching T2, I realized that this thing isn't really just a versus fic, its more like...the Matrix sequels, just pimped up a bit, adding Termies, Skynet, Kyle, and more information in the Matrix/Termie universes. Which is kinda different when you compare it to things like Starcrossed, for example. The fic seems to be following the same plot of the Matrix Sequels, more or less. Which is kind of unfair for the Termie's. But of course, its your fic, but it'd be neat to see you make your own plot, which you are still doing.

Processing all of the chapters I've read and you've written, I predict that there is a 75% chance that you will deviate from the Matrix Sequels' plot further, ending up with your own unique plot, and no longer following the events from the Matrix movies. It is inevitable 8)

Anyway, it also seems that the little bits of plot/story/sidestory/whatever from the Terminator movies you've ingrained to your fic, specifically the Kyle out to save Sarah bit, has been overwhelmed by the Matrix aspects of your fic. Of course, since Kyle has already saved Sarah...but still! The fic needs a booster injection of Terminatorness, hopefully with the introduction of the 'confused biker'.

IIRC Stravo said he's only following Reloaded and getting as far away from the train wreck that was Revolutions as possible!

Oh. But still, in Starcrossed, he never followed Nemesis or Insurrection or shit like that. Heck, he never followed any SW movie too! Hopefully, in the second half, we'll get all Terminator-ish.

But alot of elements from SW movies turn up, Slave girl Leia for example, Lines and Phrases from RotJ pop up all the time in SC.

As to Caine and Abel, main ekements of the termie movies have come into to play the tech noir scene and the police station scenes come to mind.

Incidentally, going by some of the books, an ordinary T-1000 with the appropriate update can reprogram a HK if it wants to. It's not that hard. Of course, the speed with which Skynet can retalitate to that is obscene.

Personally, I liked Skynet's entrance most of all. I'm debating posting how Skynet could get out of this in a few rather cool ways, or sending said suggestions to Stavro.

For those noting an emphasis on the Matrix I made no secret that this was a primarily Matrix story written in response to my dry heaving induced by the festering boil known as Revolutions. Matrix Reloaded I found to be a fine middle piece of the trilogy and want to try for something different when we get to the Revolutions portion of the story.

The Terminator story elements are there because I enjoy the series and think some of the concepts fit hand in glove with the Matrix and fits my storyline about the struggle between the Children of Caine and Abel and humanity stuck in the middle. But the setting is in the Matrixverse and the Term characters are guests in that verse.

But that does not mean that they will be given short shrift (Skynet is winning the war afterall) it just means that the Matrixverse elements will simply have more prominence.

Heh. Y'know what the truly worrying bit about that is? Pretty much by definition, the Skynet 'here' would have only a fraction of the power of the one on its home turf. The original Skynet turned most of Cheyenne Mountain into its central core after all.

What about the T3 Interpretation that there is no central core? That Skynet is simply software, free flaoting and able to be anywhere. PLease don't hurt me.

It built it after Judgement Day. Having nuked all the computers, there wasn't much of an internet left after all.
