Artillery is providing you time. Yep, the Huntsmen are worried as can be.

Hah. Once Pater is up (Which doesn't look too imminent, he'll need a Techpriest to look at that hole in his head and they all appear to be having tea and biscuits inside the Shrine) he can order an Exterminatus on a random world because he's pissed.

Hrm. Time to start a counter-thingummy against the Skitarii who are hassling our rear positions.

Damn it, I wish I knew what NecronLord had up his sleeve. I would love to continue massacring your retinues and dramatically scarring your characters. Ah well.

As it is, I'm getting all these nasty visions of having orks suddenly arrive. But fear not, I'll keep them to visions and not execution...

Ah, didn't realize there were more skitarii floating around. Yay!

You could take command of a Skitarii regiment?

Edit: Great minds think along similar thingummybobs.

Blah, must go to bed. For disposition, Chapel is providing rear area security, as he can't move nearly as fast as he would like to. Knives is making a beeline towards the entrance, where he firmly intends to kill everything he can see, and claim targetting errors when it is revealed that at least half of his victims were Imperial troops. Skorn will soon be searching for another metal thing to bring down, since everyone seems determined to ruin his fun.

One last post in the game thread, and control will then revert to the usual arrangements(Pcm, Yosemite, Inquisitors, Necronlord's sick whims) until about 4 pm tomorrow, Eastern standard time.

Regiment? There's a regiment?

You know what kind of damage I could do with an elite, well-coordinated regiment in the middle of this massive FUBAR?

I'm getting tingly here.

Er, did I say regiment? I meant platoon.

Squad?

Three guys with chopsticks?

*Ulp*

You really wouldn't want to see what I could do with Bruce Lee, Jackie Chan, and Jet Li, all armed with chopsticks. Be glad it's just a regiment.

As long as you're off fighting yourself and Tasoth, I'm going to do something else. Like prepare for Necronlord's wrath. What do you think is next, 4 Iron Men? Something worse?

hmmm sounds like what happened in a movie I saw ...Space truckers

Well, you're fairly close to the action that's going down with the Rifles, didn't know if you'd want to get mixed in with that or not... feel free to have a run-in with a group of skitarii if you so desire.

I have no idea, but here's the frightening part... we have yet to see any direct evidence of Necron or Chaos involvement in our current situation...

Food for thought, neh?

Never saw it, so you'll have to clarify for me.

I used to be a trucker, y'know.

One last bit before I go, equipment

Chapel
2 bolt pistols, refractor field, duct tape, assorted injuries, power sword hilt

Skorn
mastercrafted bolt pistol, power axe, power armor, refractor field, frag krak and (limited number of)plasma grenades

Knives
Assault Cannon, Lightning Claws, displacer field, complete disdain for all life, sweet, sweet combat drugs, various trophies already harvested from enemy casualties(favors ears, eyes, and scrotums)

If Skorn dies, he'd better go out burying his axe in some big thing's skull.

Prius, there is a power under biocontrol called regeneration. A sanctioned psyker, astropath, or your own latent talents could put you back into play. Other biocontrol powers like hammerhand and warp strength are very useful to a commissar.

I've got to right up the butcher's bill for my guys. Since none of you had my boys and girls drop anybody, that means I have to decide between incapacitated or dead.

No need; We specifically staged the whole thing so that it was outside the Shrine. Your gus could be rampaging around like nobody's business for all we know.

Regeneration. Bingo. Thank you very much.

Guess I need to dig out my Inquisitor book and start looking around. But honestly, I really need to call it a night, so to summarize thusly... if not stopped or otherwise impaired, the skitarii will do a serious number on the Rifles, pretty much shattering them, and the raiding parties will wipe out the artillery and detonate the stockpiled ammo.

After that, they'll either break up and harrass larger formations, or if they get another good chance like they had with the Rifles, they'll coalesce and hit like a hammer.

I've been looking at Inquisitor real hard recently as I've been doing an Alternity conversion for 40K. (There's already one at alternity.net, but I have issues with a lot of stuff in it.)

Evisor on crack? Nah, compared to what's fueling their systems crack is too weak for an Evisor to notice it. It's more like an evisor with all of his emtions cut away (mmm . . . . . psychosurgery).
