If they're so bad it's actually worse than them tasting like vomit why does anybody eat them?
That's the problem bats... they still tasted good.
That's how I feel about Doritos, I'm sure they tasted better in the past than they do now.

TIL I learned that in Germany, NOT returning a returnable bottle/can is technically a crime. You see, you didn't buy the bottle, but only the content, the agreement was you'd return the bottle.

One of the things that really grabbed me a out being in Germany was the whole system of returning bottles for .25. I worked in an office where they went shopping for supplies by taking a bunch of bottles to the local shop, and exchanging them.
One of those "why don't we have this at home?" moments.

Maybe because it was 12 years to the day since the last post

Wait, really? To the day? I swear that was an accident if so! I've been lurking for a few months now, and just decided to see if my account was still useable on a whim.

Duct tape is 100/mph tape.
Tape rated for airliners is usually either 300/mph tape or 600/mph tape.
The ###/mph is the upper limit of speed during which it's guaranteed to remain stuck to the airplane.
It's only supposed to be used on a temporary basis, usually to prevent further damage before actual permanent repairs can be done.

Wait. So duct taping airliner wings actually WORKS? I had my doubts when the used it on ultralights on 'The A-Team'.

Do you feel safer or less safe after learning that duct taping is an approved repair process for commercial airliners?

Since I live in Europe and so far haven't travelled outside, the shenanigans the US gets up to don't perturb me much.

Mythbusters had a lot more duct tape in their "duct tape plane" episode. I think I remember them getting it flying.

It was one of these small kit planes, they had Kari use steel bear claws to tear it up before the guys got in there with the tape. According to the pilot who volunteered to fly it after they taped it up, it was noticeably heavier and handled worse.
I don't use duck tape, I use gorilla tape. A gorilla is far stronger than a duck and so is the tape, yet can still be torn from the roll without needing to use scissors making it vastly superior!

EnterpiseSovereign is right about this. Duct Tape is like the Force it has a light side and a dark side and it holds the universe together. But Gorilla tape is something else.

I mean, yeah, if I take fifteen minutes to smoke a cig, or eat a sandwich, or fuck, it's really all the same to the boss, right? Though, that does gloss over the apparent, "He somehow died," thing which should probably get some attention. I mean, what exactly were they doing? Did it involve swords or fire at all? Asking for a friend...

I'm gonna assume it's like the rest of the Civilized World and is probably an hour.
Unlike the US, where a 15min break is sometimes counted as "lunch", and a 30min break is the default for "lunch", starting in elementary school.
And people wonder why US citizens have food-related health problems. When you're only given 30min to eat and then go play, you learn to bolt your food down as fast as you can.

It's two hours.
