So yeah, I'll get around and post up some movements. I will definitely need to raise a lot of troops in the first round. And also formulate an intel service.

We start with how many provinces again?
40, giving us 200 income per province per turn, as I recall.
Hmm.. enough to raise a new legion of Comitatenses.

Why...the Danes, of course. Close enough to actually help and a natural opponent to the Tsardom who seem to want to claim the Baltic for themselves :D

Yeah, but it's totally deniable. I mean, we don't create those things, we merely harvest them for our use. Like a crapload of other fucked up shit that can be found in the Motherwood ;)

Ok, so I probably won't be participating in this. I just don't really have the time to do it. So I guess I'll be withdrawing.

As to my territory, I hereby grant it all to PeZook. Just to fuck with the rest of you.

EDIT: And he gets all 25,000 of my army points, too. And everything else. Bwahahaha!

I object. Now I'll be unable to conquer PeZookia - excuse me, Pogoria, for ever and ever.

::Pst::, we don't want to fuck with Pezookia, er Poland, er Pogoria, as they are the key to conquering Russia, uh, The Czordom

ANTI - Com...Red Czardom Pact!

A viable defence treaty for states with interests in keeping the Vile Red Czordom off of the Baltic sea.

Pogoria is ready to agree to be a pawn against the Red Tsardom. The sanctimonious fuckers would've came for us sooner or later, anyway.

BTW, we really have to do something about Shady as well :D

Hmm...Byzantium has riflemen? How'z about some trading? I think barbarians standing against the Tsar would really love to get some firearms...

Hmm.. Trading distance is rather far though.

As for Shady, Shady and I have been talking about doing some stuff, especially with regard to some perceived threats in the east.

Yes, this is a problem. We could trade craftsmen and tech, though, rather than rifles themselves. You guys could set up a gunsmith's workshop and gunpowder mill in Krakow, and sell the guns to us. In exchange, you get moneys (since we'd be buying lots of arms and ammo to arm barbarians and ourselves) and lots of Tsardom's casualties thanks to the now-well-armed barbarians, without risking a single citizen.

I would imagine so, but you won't be getting our top notch alchemically enhanced weapons. I think without the alchemy, our weapons are slightly on average inferior to the Tsardom's weapons. (unless some rogue alchemist comes along, yeah)

But yeah, I mean, back in the medieval ages, you had Hungarians and Venetians and what not trading secrets with the Turks, despite threats of excommunication. Urban was especially notorious for his super guns, which remained pretty powerful for centuries.

Well, obviously. I wouldn't expect you to trade superguns with us, it's only fair. However, even those inferior weapons (along with, uh, "military advisors") will do much to bloody the noses of those stuck-up fools who think they have everyone conquered already.

I suppose something can be arranged.

BUt that means hands off Shady. I and him have plans, beyond the occasional bar fight. :)

Are you really going to side with these savages? They are a rabble of inefficiently run nobles, druids, witches and barbarians. The Tsardom has never set a single Soldier's foot on Pogorian land, never uttered any negative decree against there lands or there people, yet these maniacs desire to level Moscow for no better reason. Mark my words, if Moscow Falls, when will the Pogorian Hordes turn next? Will their witches send there curses against the British Isles? Will they unleash there woman, transformed into inhuman mindless killing machines upon the Kingdom of the Shifting Sands? Will there foul hordes descend on Byzantium?!

The Tsardom on the other hand desires only peace and prosperity for the peoples of the Rus. A land ruled by cruel and Callous Nobles and Warlords who seek only to opress men and fight in pointless wars for land and prominance, who would happly stick a knife in there brother's back if it ment a dozen more plots of land and Serfs for their estates. We bring prosperity and enlightenment to lands ravaged by war, we educate those who would otherwise remain blinded and crippled under the yoke of ignorance. Do not give these maniacs the secrets of black powder and the firearm, for that would only be selling them a knife for them to slit your neck with.

As well, we have relations with Byzantium and we would like to keep them as they are, good. Giving firearms to that lot would compromise yourself politically.

The Tsardom would be delighted for your support against the ravaging forces of the Pogorian Hordes.

Such is only fair, we would pleased to send a team of engineers to assist in the upgrading of your military and industrial copacities (agricultural too, armies march on there stomachs and all that) to better meet the demands of the Modern Battlefield as part of such an alliance.

No I didn't side with anyone. It is really hard to actually control the flow of artisans and craftsmen in the medieval ages. If Pogoria can pay well, some artisans might actually come to set up shop in Pogoria in exchange for a shitload of gold. There is only so much that I can do. Back in the high middle ages, there was active trade between Western powers and the Ottomans in strategic metals, and gunsmithing techniques, despite the Papal ban.

Why yes, of course you didn't issue any negative decree against Pogoria except constantly calling its proud people a mindless rabble, barbarians, noble's servants and other nice names in your propaganda. You also wish to convert everyone to your way of life, with guns if need be. Why oh why could our king possibly be worried about you nice folks gunning for the Baltic? :P

Why would we go to the Egyptian desert or the British Isles? We are people who love our homelands, and feel best amongst the endless forests, hills and mountains. We have no desire to go burn down cities for glory or go sweat in the desert for no reason at all...what possible thing could we gain from marching to war to the other side of the world?

Pogoria only desires peace and security for our people, nothing more.

Such an alliance won't give you anything, seeing that PeZookians would come for you with aircraft, tanks and mechanized infantry. Against Pogoria you probably have a chance :D

I am thinking that we should call it The Slavic League if that's cool with you.

You can forgive us for seeing you through negatively tinted glasses. Our people lived under the Tyranny of a cruel nobility for centuries before the Tsardom's rise, as many Russians tragically still do. While we have prospered under the Tsardom, our crops are more bountiful, more goods have become available, our people are not overburdened by forced labour and the smartest and most capable of them can ascend to the highest ranks of office. What they see is Pogoria is the past comming back with Monsters and Nobles to shackle them back to serfdom and opression that they fought so hard to end for themselves and spread to others.

Our interests with the Baltic are mainly commercial. The Industries of the Red Tsardom has many goods to offer the world through trade, as would allowing the Tsardom to improve trade. Our precious few airships can only carry so much and carts on the ground are vunerable to raiders and brigands.

Forgive us for the fact that you never tried to simply tried (gasp!) a diplomatic solution for peace makes our Tsar a bit wary, even before we made our move to gain a patch of unclaimed swampland at the mouth of the Neva River hundreds of kilometers from your most distant boarders you decided to make an alliance specifically against our innocent Tsardom.

Now you've got me wondering about how some of the more fantastical elements of SDN Kingdoms would stack up against SDN World's militaries. Could a lone Gurren-Britannian Null Mage or Knight of Brunestud defeat a platoon of Langley Royal Guards? Could the USSR be able to subjugate the Shadow Lord and his armies? How would the PeZookian military deal with the Pogorian menagerie of monsters? Et cetera, et cetera.
