Very nice, Loinstar! I approve of copious Watchmen footage use! (You should be portrayed by Edward Blake, beaten to a bloody pulp and... err... thrown out a window? Hrm... or maybe just lighting a cigar with a flamethrower. Or shooting pregnant women to death. Yeah, those two are better!)

What do you mean by 'overalls subject governors' tho? :)

I do wonder, what movie are those pictures taken from Stas? Also, that dude you use for Sikorski sure knows how to look menacing.

Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence, Stas. And since the OD has made it WELL KNOWN that it is studying various medical applications for the HERV Pathogen, it's pretty strange that you're calling it a "secret weaponization program in violation of BIOCOM" :P

Pollux, we never did settle anything regarding the refugee issue. Last I checked even when your government opened the cordon and permitted airlift flights it asked (even insisted) that aircraft with refugees land elsewhere in Misteria instead of ferrying them out of Misteria as, well, pretty much all of them wanted.

There were open issues regarding permitting emigration and promising amnesty that were supposed to be hammered out in Stasograd but which Shady kinda forgot to remark upon. :P

No, they don't. They require the power of media press and the crushing, obliterating force with which they are dumbed down the citizens' heads. Which will be done, don't worry :P

Undead zombie Sheps fall under BIOCOM? Well, well... :) No matter. It's a matter of perception, comrade.

Or that he would know about "undead Zombie Sheps"(when shep appears to be normal, walks around in the sun, etc.) in character. NO USING OOC INFORMATION STAS.

(oh wait, that's only for other people. Stas can do that to his hearts content. I forgot  )

There's sensationalism and there's the former president of the CSR making wild claims without revealed proof to the international communist/socialist congress. Certain news sources would be interested, mostly radical papers and blogs as well as state presses in nations hostile to the OD and/or MESS, but I think a lot of mainstream ones would figure it was just more Communist/CATO rhetoric.

Shep and sibling of Shep should sound equally repungnant to the world community after the biowar, and in fact I don't see any reason why anyone should believe the provisional authority of Sirnoth or the Old Dominion for that matter.
Lonestar wrote:Or that he would know about "undead Zombie Sheps"(when shep appears to be normal, walks around in the sun, etc.) in character.
I don't know Shep is a zombie. But claiming it's Shep and not his sibling is well warranted. I don't even need any proof. Why? Claims of atrocious war crimes didn't require much proof before. How many "proofs" you have seen substantiating egrerious claims in our world?

As for HERV, we just decided to lump another accusation on ya. :P

Also, time for Phase 2: Price Dumping Business WAR. :D

Yeah. Stas, dude, think about this one:

1) Basic plausibility: why would the OD put Sheppard in power? What reason could they have to use him, a man who is practically a sworn enemy, over any number of OD citizens who could follow the party line? Certainly more so than they'd expect Sheppard, of all people, to do so.

2) Denying it. Easy enough. DNA tests, as Lonestar indicated. Honestly, it'd be really easy for us to deny it. And you can't prove a thing.

Honestly Stas, this is going to come across as little more than cheap propoganda, a smear campaign from CATO against the MESS. After we've been recently calling for reduced tensions and cooperativeness (PM Shroom's funeral, and such).

Basically, this'll make you look worse than us. And since it's coming from Stanislav, it's going to hurt his personal credibility as anything but a hardliner looking to make trouble.

So, to repeat, why would HERV even ENTER your media campaign? What the fuck would make you (IC) decide to state that outloud? Especially when this is probably the first mention of HERV by the UCSR since, oh, it initially became public?

I'm tempted to start having various OD Blogs post .PDFs of leaked OD government memos talking about the recovered CSR cruise missile in shepistan.

By the way, "thousands" of petitions means exactly shit in the internet age.

People are intimately accustomed with OD politics? If not, then any explanation would work. Down to the insinuation of hot gay sex.
RogueIce wrote:Denying it. Easy enough. DNA tests, as Lonestar indicated.
Who cares. The stone is thrown and he'll have to react. It's like 9/11 truth movements. They might be bullshit, but they can amass quite some fuss in the media space.
RogueIce wrote:Honestly Stas, this is going to come across as little more than cheap propoganda, a smear campaign from CATO against the MESS.
Lonestar's press is engaged in a neverceasing and neverending smear campaign. I just paid him back the favour.
RogueIce wrote:After we've been recently calling for reduced tensions and cooperativeness
I don't see "cooperativeness". Hell, Lonestar even wanted to start some sort of licensing war with CATO aerospace industries in addition to the propaganda war. Let him eat his med.s
Lonestar wrote:Especially when this is probably the first mention of HERV by the UCSR since
Why? It's not the first public mention of HERV, just of your programs which I claimed to be of military nature. Of course, this is just me claiming this and not the UCSR.

Not like a smear campaign takes more than this. And with the "CSR-made" cruise missile, good luck  I already PLANNED a response, dear Lonestar, and you'll shoot yourself into the foot when you'll do it. ;)

You mean OUT OF CHARACTER with me specifically stating nothing would be posted in the story until we were all on the same page? Again, I thought there was a reason why we had a "in-character story thread" and "out of character comment thread", and you would not use OOC statements IC.
