Think:

These are two big burly dudes who haven't taken a bath in six months (don't worry, my diplomats have) have scary hair, are babbling at you in a foreign tongue, and come from a nation about five times your size. I'd imagine that the thought that there are many many more people that smell like this would scare me quite a bit. Wouldn't it scare you?

Not if I can breathe fire.

Actually, with silver and bronze dragons, it'd be intense cold and a lightning bolt, respectively. At least if Aly is using D&D dragons, which I'm fairly certain he is.

That's it. Let's kill some peaceful envoys in public, in a country that isn't even our own. That's a LOVELY idea.

Sorry, I didn't get home till right now.

Aly's dragons aren't being polite, but my guards aren't going to say too much. They are dragons afterall. And my guards are politely requesting you to follow them to a seperate wing, a more secure one.

Also, I just noticed that I'm not ratified...

Umm, I'm not ratified yet. I would like to play and won't be able to if i'm not ratified soon, so if you have a problem with my OOB (other than the those that i've already fixed) I would appreciate being told what it is so It can be fixed.

My people would speak mostly Sindarin Elvish or, in the case of the upper classes, Quenya.

Darthdavid, your OOB still doesn't make much sense, and you aren't giving regiment values for your airship. 4 elite regiments? You clearly don't understand the point system.

Here.

Each nation type gets a certain amount of "Regiment Points" to spend on troops, ships or air forces. Grand Powers get 50, Medium Powers get 35, and Regional Powers get 15. As a new player, you'll get a Regional Power.

You can have as many as twice your "Regiment Point" cost in actual regiments, but they'll all be poorly organized barbarians or conscripts (Though having vast numbers can be useful in many situations.)

On average, a regiment consists of 1000 men, with cavalry and air force (Dragon riders, giant eagles, whatever you can imagine) regiments having considerably fewer, and barbarian/militia/skirmisher regiments having up to twice as many men.

An example OOB for a regional power might look like so:

10 Regiments of Imperial Conscript light infantry, 1000 light infantry with leather armor, wooden shields, crossbows and handweapons. Poorly trained, each regiment supported by a single combat wizard. (.5 points a peice, 5 points total)

2 Regiments of Imperial Elite heavy infantry in chain mail with tower shields, pikes, and seige bows. Includes a small contingent of fairly powerful combat wizards. (2 points a peice, 4 points total)

1 Regiment of Imperial Elite Ranger Cavalry. Light cavalry, 500 men with horse-bows, small shields, and handweapons. (1.5 points)

1 Regiment of Imperial Dragon Riders. Small, elite unit of dragon riders with arcane archer riders. 25 dragon/rider pairs with enchanted seige bows. (1.5 points)

20 Galleys, with ballistae and small contingents of boarding marines. (10 ships per point, total of 2 points)

5 Triremes, with greek fire mangonels and large marine contingents. (5 ships per point, total of 1 point.)

Total: 14 Regiments of troops, 25 ships.
15 regiment points spent.

This is just a sample to give you an idea of how the system works. You have 15 points to toss around, ok?

Quenya then. I wasn't sure of what precisely was the language.

Okay, though I will warn you that's not a working language for much aside from formal government papers, state and and religious functions.

You said it yourself: state functions. Diplomacy fits that bill, doesn't it?

It's called humour. Of course the one thing I find so fascinatingly funny is that you're all just going to go to war with me, before I get to play an aggressive move deliberatley against any of you. It just strikes me as odd, especially for you 'peaceful' folk. But then again, that's just me.

I'll be waiting for you with drawn arms, let the good times commence.

I am not going to war with you yet.

You would have to fight all those others and then work you way around on land to become a threat.

Admiral DanielsBen, first it's WoLGar, not WolFGar, no F.

Second I don't have cities, I have one large town inland in the middle of the hills. So you'll be landing at a village.

Look at the maps and read the OOBs a little. Granted you don't need to know everything about everyone, but if you intend to deal with folks at least make sure you get the name right okay?
