Mikal's doing what any sane person who's just thrown a live grenade would do...keeping his damned head down until it goes off. Shrapnel has a funny way of going beyond the normal blast radius and lodging itself in one's eye, especially since there are now multiple grenades in an inclosed area.

Hmm, for some reason it wasn't showing any new posts in this thread. Was waiting for Mikal since I didn't see this. Sorry 'bout that. Jeez, I've just been unnecessarily waiting to execute for like three times in a row. :oops: *smacks himself upside the head*

stuff happens. I doubt that anyone is really going to hold you accountable for the mix-ups or hate you for the rest of all time. as long as you let me kill some people or be shot at before my birthdate, It will all be cool. :wink:

Gurble urble gleep, gur ble.
<Typo-Bot> I'd translate, but I'm not programmed to speak Stupid.
<Mortanos> Actually, that sounds more like Stupor, and I think he's saying, "I hate you, old man."

Agreed. At least with the rest of all time part. ;)

Remind me not to use this special pleading anytime soon. My birthday isn't until August.

I'm gonna be in San Francisco today and tomorrow, so next turn execution will have to wait until Monday, and barring unforseen circumstances, I promise it will actually be executed Monday.

Advanced Weapons System M29

let us look back at the moment when Blaine picked up the M29 in our own little version of events.

Ernesto: WHAHAHAHA! PSG-1 baby! *walks away doing a dance and a spin in his usual lively cuban fashion*
Dirk: Grenades. Lots of Grenades. *carries them by the armful and whistles like a child after receiving his desired christmas gift*
Blaine: ^_^! shit. Umm... Let's see. *eyes around the inside of the Van when a glitter in the darkness catches his attention* mmmm?
M29: *whispered voice* choose me Blaine. choose me.
Blaine: *blinks, turning around to look at Stacey as she talks with some random NPC* .....?
M29: *whispered voice* choose me. I won't betray you, I won't fail you. I am the pinnacle of evolution, the end result of thousands upon thousands of man hours. I am the ultimate evolution in warfare. you need me Blaine, and I need you.
Blaine: well shit. *then again he was used to needy women, so why not needy guns?* allright. you won me over. *picks up the M29*
M29: *softly* you won't regret this....

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Narrator: *fast forward to the battle*
Blaine: time to go to work sweetie. *selects the grenade and pulls the trigger*
M29: boing! *warning selectors start to flash* oops. I am sorry, it must be that time of the month Blaine.
Blaine: o.O! *selects the kinetic component and fires*
M29: *coughcoughcough....missmiss*
Blaine: *sighs*
Well, the max you can get with that gun is a +4 after 2 seconds due to the lack of a scope, but it gets an inherent +2 accuracy because those things are damn easy to fire accurately.
What can I say? It's been a while since I've pulled a needy woman's trigger.
He eyes the M29 warily, wondering if he should have taken it out to dinner and a movie. Or maybe I should reassure it that the 6 shot grenade clip doesn't make it look fat.
:lol:
precious CorSec, simply precious. :D
10 squares.
These guys may or may not. There's really no way to tell, and in this confined space the gas probably would drift back after a minute or so.
heh.
Sweet. Thanks for the clarification Arthur. ^_^
All the grenades have gone off now, so everyone feel free to stick their heads back up.
waaaah! Rocket launchers for them. When Yuuki sticks his head back up he's sure in for a shock. At least there are only six of them... but what I wouldn't give for a sachel charge or a chance to have rigged some claymores up there earlier. If there had been time I could have put them in the walls, or metal boxes made to look like wiring, and detonated them at just the right moment to scythe down the unrigheous. Damn emergencies.
Oh btw, they're all behind the shields. Those things are big.
Six guys behind 2 riot shields? I could be wrong, but I thought riot shields were typically one-man shields, not 3. At least, the ones I've seen always have been.
They're single-file behind the shields.
Ok, so are they in a narrow hallway, or is there someway to get an angle on them, get em from the flank and whatnot?
The hallway is pretty narrow. When the gangers were using three shieldbearers, they took up the whole corridor.
I assume these exo-suits are something like powered armor? Is it just to help them lift the heavy weapons or are they packing heavy armor too? And is this a full metal/kevlar and fiberglass/whathaveyou shell or are, say, their throats uncovered.
It's not powered, but it's about as heavy as you can get without being so. It doesn't boost their strength or anything. It's a combination of fibres, plastics, and ceramics. Most calibres of small arms would be pretty useless. The joints are uncovered, while the throat is only mostly covered via the helmet coming down and the chestpiece coming up without actually interfering with head movement, so it's just the center that's exposed.
Exo-suits
Look at it this way gentlemen, yeah exo-suits are nasty but what they gain in defense they lose in offense. They are getting a -4 to all their attacks. I can dig that for the time being. If all goes well, the hail of gunfire from NPC guards, Dirk, Blaine, Mikal and myself will get rid of these pendejos before we have to worry too much. I just hope that Stacey appreciates the rates she is getting. So far, I count 10 dead for Ernesto. That is a measly 200 dollars a head if we count only the advance. *eyes Stacey* I hope you carry through with that cyberwear offer sweetheart. On the plus side, the weapons that Ernesto has "confiscated" are a nice bonus. :wink:
hehehehe. relax, Stacey and all that is hers is all yours Blaine. ^_~
note: you see those armored bad guys? that is how bad-ass I want Ernesto to be in the near future. By my estimation they got 23 or 25 base attack. *cackles madly* its gonna be fun watching them die. But those are the magic number we all want to strive for. :twisted:
