Uh, Thirdfain? This is a secret meeting.
Not really. He invited anyone with an interest in opening up relations with his power. I accepted, and then he ... must have missed my post, or something.

BTW, everyone, the Goa'uld were in the first STGOD (they wwere bothering the Fenari.) Therefore, records of their interesting form of "procreation" and their use of humans will certainly be available.

And Bugsby, you know you were going to do that no matter what the price came out to be, so you can stop with the celebrating now.

There is no set price for shield generators; you could have set it at whatever the hell you felt like in order to make an outrageous profit.

Goddammit!
It's OUSTERS. O. U. S. T. E. R. S.
As in, "We were ousted."

That celebration was because his counterproposal was better for me than my original proposal in terms of profit. It was kind of my in game way of telling magi that he had not really come out on top there.
Also, for anyone who is interested, I made some fairly large changes to my last Yrt/Avery post. I was just kidding before... go check out what
really happened!

Like I said, you had no fixed production cost for the shield generator. You could have set the production cost wherever and said you made outrageous profit.

That is true. I never set anything, so let me do so now. My thought process was this (I will hold myself to this in the future should anyone else require shield generators.):
200 for the production of the generators
10 for the transport
40 for the escort
50 for the installation
I figure that ratio of costs is about accurate. This is not something I came up with now, but rather what I was thinking at the time I was negotiating. I do not think this is taking undue advantage of magi either, since he must have known that taking on a good hlaf of the job would lower my costs significantly.

Force Declaration
Basque Industrial Conglomerate
-front for the Hajr's Intelligence division-
Established a decade ago by the Hajr's forebears, the Basque Industrial corporation was created as a tool to assist in the Diaspora. With the support of the far-off Elysium cluster, it was able to rapidly blossom into a powerful corporate force- the BIC is among the top 20 richest corporations in Known Space, with offices on many major worlds in almost every major power. BIC builds and distributes a variety of "nuts and bolts" type equipment, and holds as subsidiaries a variety of real estate, finance, and banking corporations.
The BIC is largely Known Spacers, with no knowledge of the Hajr puppetmasters behind the scenes. The highest levels of the BIC are in fact Ousters, modified, of course, man and women who have been in Known Space for a decade, and have made a place for themselves there.
The Hajr runs a half-dozen other smaller front companies on a variety of worlds, but they are all far less extensive and powerful than the BIC.

Is it coincidental that they share a name with the Basque separatists, otherwise known as ETA?

at all.

Laz, have you completely abandoned your old empire? Leaving another dozen or so industrial worlds "up for grabs". Empires these days, they just don't last. Who now will charge in and conquer the leaderless Jardanian industrial worlds?

It's NOT, "up for grabs". There is a new, more benevolent government. And, while it may not be oppressive/aggressive then still control what was left of my fleet.
Their still a significant power, the only reason I didn't re-activate them when I returned was because I wanted a change an running an empire that WASN'T complety crazy and didn't have the diplomatic reputation of Nazi germany.
You could take their worlds, but you would have to expect a fight.
