A few things that might not to be totally futile:

1) you are a communications source to people other than these lunatics.

2) The people you are in contact with are rational and will only order an exterminatus in extremis. If their goal is to really protect humanity, then they will want to convince the inquisitors that there is no need for extreme measures.

3)If they really intend to assist humanity, they are much better off allying with the more powerful inquisitors who have already demonstrated more tolerance and rational thought than the demented ad mechs.

He'll head for a rendezvous, and if questioned on his recovery, he'll attribute it to his injuries not being so bad as they said, or the touch of the Emperor. If REALLY pressed on the matter, try to hold off until I return so we can out his psyker-ness in style.
