So Bean, if you're going to preserve the OMSK, as last member of the Security Council are you going to bring new people in or what? Important to know if we're to deal with the OMSK as an entity.

On an entirely OOC note, I saw an article on Yahoo about survivalists popping up due to Peak Oil and such. Given that we can't seem to go three game-weeks without a Global Crisis Pushing Us To The Brink Of Total War(TM) I have the distinct feeling that there will probably be quite a few survivalist types in our world.

And they'd have damned good reasons for it, too.

[I intend to continue my projects with Shep. The Beards and the Nuclear Passenger Ship. But if shit hits the fan, Shroomania has enough know-how to do-it-ourselves. So Shroomania can still build and maintain Beards for folks who don't want to work with Shep.]

Technically the BR is paying reperations to Shep, because our intellegence assists stole (copied) the information on the Blackbeard program. The BR could also continue to supply the clones to to others.

Mang. None of that stuff is official, it's just OOC Thread ramblings. The most official statement was that RAR just borrowed one of my islands. Then my intelligence guys found out that Zor's people are just bumming about doing nothing but going to nearby Vulpesia for some blackjack and hookers.

Not that it matters. I mean, if all the OMSK goes into the FUN, then the FUN ends up becoming a second OMSK - and I'm not too comfortable with that.

It's also not a bad thing to remain a nation that's not aligned to any of the major pacts. If you maintain friendly relations with folks, but don't end up in the FUN or the MESS, you still get the benefit of cordial relations while retaining autonomy.

It's a massive paradigm shift.

Due to Shep's dickery in Libertia, the OMSK is (has) fractured. They decided that they weren't on the same wavelength. The Red Technocrats wanted zero-tolerance with the Saddamistanis, while the Blackadders were being magnificent bastards were behind-the-scenes dealing with Saddam. No one wanted to ship tanks and guns to Libertia, except Shep.

So they went on their different ways. Some OMSK members (Byzantine) are now MESS.

Shep has formed an unholy alliance with SeaSkimmer, as the nuke-o-philes found themselves to be soulmates.

Stas and the Red Technocracy is now in the FUN.

Blackadder is holding onto the remains of the OMSK.

The MESS is now contending with a new and unprecedented rival super-bloc, Shep and Skim's Unified Atomic Republic.

The FUN now has Stas and the Bear Republic (a nation that matches Shep or Skimmer's Imperium).

The MESS and the UAR are headed for great troubles as Shep's shipment of tanks is gonna end up being blockaded by the MESS' taskforce that surrounds Libertia.

It is a Second Cuban Crisis.

The FUN is keeping its head down while trying to make a buck off everyone while trying to piss no one off.

Everyone is scared.

Korolev has a spaceport, but we will hvae to expand it. So far it can only launch Molniya / Soyuz family, but not heavier boosters.

I'm not cutting the investment, and I will continue using my spacefighter fleet, but it will now become a FUN space force addition.

I'm not altogether knowledgeable about nukes, but the idea that Shep has a hundred over megaton weapons strikes me that whether or not it hits the ground, such weapons are likely to cause substantial damage with the shockwave alone.

And that is putting it in very mild terms.

Well, I've taken my crack at doing something aboput the international crises. Not much Indhopal can do besides try and talk with people, given its small size. Perhaps if if we can get an honest answer about what Sadaamistan and Shepnukistan (whose goals are actually fairly clear, but Indhopal would like an official statement on them) want in Libertopia we can all have something to work with.
