Hey, I know he's going after King Paul, but who's the other "great leader" they plan to wipe out?

The Marketplace Thread has the countup for the available An-22s (KC-22s) that Cascadia is selling after acquiring them in the Food-for-Tankers program.

I'd think the diamond price would've crashed sometime after a bunch of SD.netters came into power and anally raped our own equivalent to DeBeers

Quick question for Steve: Is there a bulk discount for KC-22s?

Shinn Langley Soryu wrote:Quick question for Steve: Is there a bulk discount for KC-22s?
Given the size of the KC-22s, and the fact that IIRC most of them were kept on standby and not flown often by the Shepistani Air Force, $100M/unit is something of a bargain price. Transports of equivalent size tend to be in the neighborhood of $200M/unit; even counting the fact that they're older and slightly used, $100M is fair I think.

Well, in that case, I'll take twelve KC-22s, then.

How many though? With Phong confirming an order of 60 through IMs (to be fair, Tonkin was the intermediary that enabled Cascadia and Shepistan to agree on the program, so he's likely to get the first orders in) and Langley asking for 12, that leaves 68.
Or do you intend to buy all 68 that are left to be sold?

I confess a degree of surprise that Shep wasn't involved at all in the first nuclear explosion.

Well, Marina said she'd regulate the nuclear explosions. In any case, the first SNC test shouldn't be too far behind if we are now arbitrarily giving nuclear capability to nations.
P.S. Also, RL prices for Antonov airplanes if someone wondered:
here.

Marina's no longer moderator, but I think that enough time has passed for wealthy and advanced nations to perform a nuclear test. I expect the first fusion tests to arrive within three game years in wealthy, advanced nations.

Marina's not modding any more though.
Also, those were prices for the last game I see. I based the idea of a $100M/unit on the fact that aircraft of that size are usually in the $175M-$200M range and that these relatively older and used, if in better shape since Shep seemed to keep them on ground most of the time (unless I got that bit wrong).
Note that I stated payment of $100M/unit to Shep as well, I'm not getting any direct profit off this arrangement (it's possible that private buyers might pay a bit extra). The program was mostly a way to help bring Shep's airlift fleet down to armistice limit, provide humanitarian aid, provide extra airlift for the RCAF, and generally do a good deed that helps improve Cascadian prestige in the world.

Anyway, you've probably seen my evil plan. I hired
Colonel Kanatjan Alibekov and put him to work in Biopreparat. I probably have all kinds of nasty diseases like a mix between Shroompox and Shroombola. (Smallbola in @) all weaponized. Nuclear weapons cost too much - Bio is much much cheaper.

You know, I like having an event just drag on for years, but we should finalize some sort of treaty or agreement.

I expected a little longer than 2 years, but then, we have nuclear power already, which means weaponizing it is easier than in RL with just minor input from us as knowledgeable people. In any case, 3-4 years will pass before arsenals will rise to a measurable threat of destruction.

Pollux, given your choice to have a Russian-ethnic state, I'd figure you might have long-standing cultural ties with the CSR and other Slavic states, though long distant due to your nation being under a dictatorship (it actually wouldn't surprise me if the dictator family were deposed nobles who fled the Crimson Revolution in the now-CSR).

The CSR also wants to outbid Japanistan in some contracts to Shepistan. After all, it's best if Japanistan's Arms Industry gets a slight reduction of contracts - and monies. It will also make Shepistan dependent on arms supplies from O.C. and less inclined to mess with us.
Sukhoi Bureau will become the enterprise to take up on the bid for servicing Shepistan's airforce.
