It would be clearer, had you not been arguing for a similar thing in all seriousness immediately beforehand.

Another example would be, a 500pt badass ship is prowling around deep space badassedly because it is a badass battleship of the naval badassery fleet taskforce cuntpuncher. After a while, it returns home to rearm and refuel. Let's assume it needs antimatter fuel because it uses pew-pew lasers that don't need bullets, but needs energy. But as it returns home, the supply depot or the supply ship or the fuel dump is blown up by a 50pt shit ship. The 500pt badass ship returns to refuel, finds out that the fuel depot is blown up, and then it is out of fuel - low power, need to construct more pylons. The fuel-starved 500pt badass ship is then confronted by the 50pt ship, which has stolen all the fuel and weapons from the depot, and then boom - the 500pt badass ship, out of fuel, is now a 500pt piece of turd that gets wiped by a 50pt piece of double ply tissue paper.

Either that, or Spacemerica parks its Spacely Burke-class space destroyer USS Space Cole into Space Yemen, and then a bunch of Space Terrorists in a 5pt Space Speedboat suicide bomb the USS Space Cole and blow a hole through its hull. :P

[Bill Murray] Can't you stop your lips from flapping for two seconds?

Seriously, do you have anything to add to this game but repeated and rampant stupidity? Honestly, I am starting to wonder if it is even worth the effort of destroying your faction to give mine more RP ofdder or if I should just wait for the Modhammer to inevitably smash you.

I've some things to write, but I'm pretty damn busy with the myriad of crap on my table and in the damn lab. I'll get back to writing when I clear off one layer of crap, and clear leave ... sometime this month. Sigh... *shoots a damn Tau*

I guess this is the natural complement to the way I tend to model ship-in-hyperspace interactions as being like submarines: the Bragulan Boomerski!

I like.

What the hell is going on with the wiki? The editor just suddenly stopped working reliably and now it won't let me add images.

I hate to say this, but CN's right. For me at least, refreshing works wonders.

Oh come on, guys. He may have some silly, even juvenile ideas, but he's amusing, at least.

In any event, I solved it by switching to the old-style skin. But thanks, anyway.

How'd you do that? I hate the new skin with a passion that amounts to absolute detestation, but I can't make it go away.

If you're logged in with your own account, http://worldsofsdn.wikia.com/wiki/Special:Preferences > Site Layouts > click the circle next to MonoBook > save.

While it's not Monaco, MonoBook's still a hell of a lot better than the new Wikia skin.

I'd like to apologize for my lack of output lately. Between a job hunt, a computer swap, watching "John Adams", and scratching an itch for GTA, I'm afraid I've let my writing creativity slack.

New Zebes update posted, another on the way shortly.

As we see here, if I may wax Shroomanian, High Admiral Natalya Zokolova is a fairly proficient dickstabber.

For some reason I find it amusing that the Chamarran unit of currency is the Mou.

Also, wow. Not having the luxury of letting the loud lunatic robots shout from the other side of the galaxy because you're right next to them, that must be painful, Darkevilme. You have my sympathies.

We don't shout Simon. We use our precision acoustics to project sound at the decibel and pitch level that makes it easiest for the species to hear over background noise.

BTW Darkevilme, small correction for the sake of accuracy. Ambassador drones are 5 meters tall. They are also wide enough at the shoulders that a chamarran could pleasantly curl up on pauldrons like it was a fireplace mantle.

And OoC response to Darkevilme "Damn, now I am going to have to download a file on tact."

All Umeria knows of the Emissaries are their hyperwave broadcasts, which sound to us like a televangelist AI having a really fucking horrible acid trip. And which are clearly detectable from thousands of light years away.

So from our point of view, yes, your civilization can be summarized as the "loud lunatic robots."

I assumed 3 meters tall cause it said somewhere the Ambassador was an imitation of the original Xylyx agent which was 3 meters tall. But the point i was vaguely getting at with the height reference is that if the Ambassador is trying not to tower over the chamarrans, it's probably failing. your correction just means it's certainly failing.

Trying not to tower over most species when you are basically a titan-grade warbot that happens to have a very sophisticated and eloquent AI is always a losing proposition. Its sorta like Transylvania sending Dracula to be its representative in the UN. Sure he is qualified but it probably isn't the most politically astute move move.

I should have a reply up for both you and mayabird tonight or tomorrow. You may be able to talk me down from genocide to just dismantling CNs nation and turning it into the galaxies largest (and by extension probably the bloodiest) landgrab.

We'll see. Our forces are about equal, and Maya's ships will need to come from the other side of the galaxy. Plus, I have the home-field advantage.

Ahem.

Since I find myself elected mod, I would like to point something out about this statement.

By your own statements, the MEH consists of four star systems, just transported into this region of space from another universe. These four star systems are now scattered through a volume of space including four sectors: that is, four roughly cubical volumes each roughly one hundred light years wide.

You said nothing about the MEH bringing any other stars with it from its home universe- and there are one hell of a lot of stars close to Sol other than the three you identified as being part of your empire. Hell, there are fifty stars within the nearest seventeen light years alone, a sphere that is somewhere between half and one third the full width of one sector.

While you certainly control the four stars you named, you didn't bring hundreds of other stars with you... and the stars you do control are now dozens of light years apart instead of five to ten.

Therefore, there are a lot of systems in your space that were never part of the old MEH, and which I can only assume are the ones which were already present in this region of space before you arrived. You may have a home court advantage in your home system, but you don't have one over the sectors you claim control over.

Based on your own description of your empire, beyond the boundaries of your four colonized systems, you don't know the territory and don't have any significant presence on any of the planets in those systems... because you only just got here a month ago.

If I were in your shoes, CN, I would not be at all comfortable with the level of "home court advantage" I'd see myself having. Indeed, I would feel alone and lost, scattered through a volume of many thousands of cubic light-years of unknown space... and that's just inside my borders.

...So why did you do it? Do you use vacuum tubes like Bragulans and therefore find yourself unable to miniaturize your robots into smaller spaces? :D

Especially since the Solar System is rather well known in this universe.
