Well, they would obviously be in Imperial borders, if that's what you mean. It doesn't mean that successor nations get them for free though. They would take racial points to buy, and industrial points for extra maintenance on ships with imperial tech and to maintain the Imperial facilities.

Oh, it's been said a couple of times that only the Imperial sucessor states can initially purchase the tech upgrades. We could probably come up with some new ones than the ones we have now. That said, the imperial tech stuff is capturable.
Oh, and here's the most recent edition of the map:

Hmm, how about they are usable by barbarians and outsiders, but cost a little extra, since they are not familiar with the tech?

I went with the Chamaran's ability to build destroyers costing 150 points despite it being a ten point raising of their shipsize cap. So i'm already spending extra to reflect the fact that you lot dont know where the darned motherships are that churn these things out. Though when i get ahold of a decently huge imperial shipyard I will build a fleet of Chamaran juggernaughts the likes of which this galaxy has not seen since the death of earth!

Man! I just realized that those Vile Xeno invaders are actually closer to me than anyone else.. Looks like I won't have that corner of space all to myself...
You'll never take our shipyards you horrid Catgirl fiends!

There are still a couple other people who I'm not sure if they're still playing and I don't know if they're barbarians or not, so there may be some more groups moved over to Quadrant 2. We'll probably end up with 3 or 4 groups in each quadrant though.
Looks like I'll probably be fighting with crusaders though.

Aren't the Quaros vile xeno-things and therefore should be outside Imperial borders?
This map also makes me sad. I wanted to see heavy metal vikings vs catgirls, but that looks like it's not gonna happen.
Academia: could you put up a clean, empty hex-grid with the coordinates, for our personal use?

Covenant requested he be placed inside Imperial borders, which makes sense for his fluff, so I complied. I'm not going to argue with him wanting to be put there.
And here's the clean version:

Eventually, all the barbarian and extragalactic powers will converge (assuming they survive that long), which means that (hopefully) you'll get your catgirl vs. heavy metal Viking action.
Hopefully, our grand finale will be catgirls vs. heavy metal Vikings vs. space Romans vs. Haruhiists.
As to my starting position, looks like Malacaster and the Humanist Union are next on the hit list for conversion. It's an adventure, right? Right?

Who is in charge of the OOB? Cause I would wish to request a "Linked link" menu up at the top, say I want to read up on the "Quaros" but have no idea where they are in, what will eventually be, an immensily long OOB.

I was going to add a summary and link at the top when everyone finished. Quaros is near the bottom. Covenant's with the big image of 3 ships.

I am sorry I am behind on my OoB especially after I was the one pushing for fast times. I am going to try to have it up tonight, but I might not since i am sick.
I did get my girlfriend back though, so not doing my OoB was not wasted. Victory is mine!

I'd like to reduce the four worlds of the Makay province into one hex unless other nations are going to spread out from their starting hexes. I'm still keeping the Chamaran home system hex split off by one hex from Makay though.
Hmm, gonna have to fight through the BETAC and Kushwani before getting to earth for my big day against the metal barbarians...fun.
@Crossroads: Aww how can you say that of such cute lil adorable critters as my catgirls? dun ya just wanna hug'em and pamper em? *contemplates how big an asteroid they'll need to direct into teknotron-1 to put the ruling mind out of commission.*

Let's use the Wiki page as rules and get this show on the road. OOB updated.
if you finalize your OOB, tell me so I can summarize it at the top thread.

The Syndicalist International is a successor organization, which would be somewhere a few hexes north of the Metallkonige.

I put up the bare bones of my OOB, so as to not fall behind if we start. The points probably won't change, but there is a lot more history and fluff to come. Right now I'm debating the merits of writting that stuff or sleeping, but I think sleeping is going to win.
EDIT: I hope we get a lot more people, but right now that map has some big empty space between our realms.

Posted most of the numbers for my OOB. Just gotta figure out racials. Oh, and write my fluff too, I guess.
A-Wing, I'm guessing that most of that empty space will be filled in once we get most of the players finalized and ready to play.

My region of space is closer to Earth than most, but I was also going to consider upgrading myself to an Extradimensional threat, and using the 'nearer to Earth' as a bit of an offset to make it fair. Plus, this gives Nut more flexibility--I'm okay with being on a border between near and far, so he can put me where I need to go.
And I dunno why we'd want to expand, really. There's no benefit to holding extra territory--it just makes you spread out. It's a bit harder for someone to attack ALL your worlds, sure, but that's hardly much of a countermeasure. Plus, some of these 'empty' areas will be full of nations not currently at war. If one of us dies, where do you think the 'upstart' nation will appear? In a white spot!

Chamaran OOB has been finalized but for tidbits of fluff that i may get an urge to write into it at some point, probably after the game begins.

Enclave OOB posted. Someone check my math.

Looks good Nitram. EDIT: Never mind the previous point, I misread something.
And here is the updated map. I decided to stick on some of the people who I wasn't sure about since there was only one group that might have been a barbarian group, namely
consequences psychopaths, who I decided to stick a bit into the Deadlands the way I was doing them. If you have issue with any of these location, just tell me and I'll fix them.

Come Christmas, I will finally finish the OOB. It is amazing how many things need be done before Christmas and how many Christmas parties are done these days...

The area around me is really a hellhole. Nobody's going to be comfortable with three of us packed in so close, and I can't imagine anyone looking forwards to trying to invade territories so closely packed. Taking a territory without a massive force to defend it could start a lot of territory changing hands pretty fast.
May you live in interesting times.
Posted: 2007-12-18 09:18pm
by Academia Nut
If you want I can spread things out a bit, although really any place with the Enclave will turn into a hellhole unless they're moved further towards the edge, which isn't what Nitram wanted.
RP wise though, this could be rather interesting, seeing as how there are going to be a number of factions with axes to grind, especially with the Enclave, but if all the barbarians launch attacks around the same time then there will suddenly be other things to worry about.

by Covenant
No, I'm okay with it, like I said it'll be hard for anyone to attack INTO the territory as well. It's certainly going to give me more of an excuse to avoid long-distance diplomacy, which is nice, and it also makes our corner of space rather remarkable. Regardless of the outcome, nobody is going to enjoy that area, and only the ones who start there will have the flinty resolve to stand up in The Crucible! The clouds of Quaros will spread!
