Pretty soon, I think I could have them done in a few months, so introduce them at your leisure.

PeZook: When is Svetlana Savitskaya going "up there"? Because right now she looks to be the only one who could beat Nadine as the first woman in space.

Ok, I am sorry for leaving you guys for the month but I was doing Nanowrimo (50K words in one month) and I have been ill, piled in by coursework etc. I hope everything is going ok for all of you and I would ask for a summary for what is hhappening but I guess is that Its best just to read a few pages back.

$50 mil in royalties to build 15 A-7Fs.
Well, unless you have a decent number of airframes to build, you're probably better off buying from the original manufacturer. With only 15 aircraft, you're probably going to be at the hand built aircraft point, where each will have it's own idiosyncrasies due to the construction.

Yeah, it is more economical to go with the 15 from you. Now, how long does construction take?

Your nation was occupied.

I'm so sorry.

Depends on whether you want new or used. Used means former TXAF airframes, about 15 years old at this point, with about 4000 hours on the airframes. Probably end up cutting the price in half. New means pulling them off the A-7G line, and backconverting them to the F configuration. Used means you get them as soon as you can send them to Tian Xia to go to school. New takes a bit longer, but not significantly so.

Either way, it's going to be a couple in game months, simply because the Department of Foreign Affairs and Department of Peace aren't going to let them go without being trained first. However, training of the initial class will be free, as a courtesy from the Huang Di. Be bad if your pilots crashed one in the first couple months you had them, eh?

Very bad, so, I'll take new then.

Siege, if you're launching one month from now, there's no way FASTA can get a woman up there.

Not that it matters much from an engineering standpoint: it's just an excercise in designing a different waste removal tube :D

I too finally got a flag but unlike all ya'll HoI folks I've never played and I didn't feel like snapping out the program for it so nyah. Anyway flag is in my sig and in the Building Your Country thread (now with WAY more information than anyone could hope to want).

Let me just say that if you actually manage to read through all of that info then you deserve a medal because I wouldn't and I wrote it all.

Total aside but if anyone is curious the flag is a bastardized version of the Maryland and DC flags. The Maryland flag already utilizes the gold/black pattern with a red/white design for the other 2 quarters but the MD design uses a stylized cross so I substituted the DC flag only I changed it to 4 stars in each box (8 stars total) representing the 16 non-Capitol Provinces of the Empire with the 4 bars representing the 4 pillars of the county (The King, The Government, The People and The Law).

As an aside within an aside the DC Flag was rated best amongst 150 city flags and Maryland ranks 3rd amongst US State Flags according to the North American Vexilology Association.

*Edit* Flag info now included in the main Wilkonia post.

Your country is still there, although if you remain inactive I might be tempted to add another Republic to the USSR.

Well, the thing's made of plastic all right...

On Svetlana, she goes up on Soyuz 1 or 2, I haven't decided yet: which means at least four more months.

And no, we're not rushing it. So far, all unmanned Soyuz flights have failed, so yeah... :D

EDIT: sorry, it will be Soyuz III or IV. Two unmanned flights first.

That new disposal system must result in Miranda contracting urinary tract infection.

EDIT:

I wonder what reception Shroompard got, if Byzantine's Nick dude got celebrations. Man, it must've been like a Mardri Gras and a Carnivale combined in Farbanti!

EDIT 2:

HEY LOINSTAR! CAN SHROOMANIA HAVE A BIT PART IN THE MESS EXERCISES THAT ARE HAPPENING OFF CANISSIA SINCE CANISSIA IS RLY NEAR SHROOMANIA?!

Whatever you thought appropriate. Though in Shroomania, "appropriate" probably has a meaning somewhat different than usual, I'd wager :D

I can imagine pink business suits and playboy bunny outfits for (male) secretary staff at MacMillan HQ :D

Always with the anti-Shroomanian sentiment.

By the way, you've yet to get back to me on the price of that JFK-class carrier.

It's the time of year. Lots of people are cramming for college finals, working extra hours for the holiday season, spending time with family, etc.

Yeah...I really don't like the fact I'm not able to make story posts beyond the occasional FASTA update, especially since I have some cool espionage/intrigue ideas involving the RIS and various local factions in PeZookia.

I'd also love to flesh out the space program a bit more, describe some of the key characters, make a post or two about every significant astronaut, etc.

But I just don't have the time right now.
