Flameblade: Mods don't control every aspect of the game. People play, and if there is an argument, mods settle the dispute, although other players usually feel free to throw in their two cents on the OOC thread (the final ruling still goes to the mods, though). Nitram can handle his own intel. Thirdfain can handle his own fleet movements. But if the person Nitram is performing his covert op on says "thats not fair!", then it is up to the other mods to pass a ruling on Nitram's actions (Nitram obviously would not serve as his own judge). While that is the protocol, it is expected to happen infrequently. Mods are selected largely on their solid understanding of what is fair in a game, so it would be odd for a mod to do something blatantly unfair. Odd, but admittedly not unheard of.
Innocent: Seconded. In my perfect world, mod votes would be tallied tomorrow morning, mods would be officially dubbed, and they could open the official game threads. Anyone disagree with this?
nt01jones: It happens. The STGOD will be waiting for you when you get back, and you are allowed to backtrack in time a bit (within reason) to react to what you missed. Have fun on vacation.
