I agree with what you said in that post though.. The Endor battle probably can't get any "better".
When I think of scenes that should/could be re shot in CG to replace dodgy previous film work every scene I think of is one they messed about with for the DVD...release... all the partying at the end of RotJ.. Put Han/Greedo back in the right order and touch up Jabba in ANH. Little scenes like Obi, Luke R2 and C3PO in Luke's speeder entering Mos Eisley.. the newest scene is obviously CG.. apart from recognising it for what it is .. it just looks fake. That and all the extra garbage they put into the Mos Eisley scenes...
With all the mentions of the Imperial Troops landing on Hoth... adding in scenes showing AT-AT's will lose the suspense from the Rebel troops in the trench looking through the binoculars...
There was a comic book in a local bookstore of short stories by people who'd drawn concept art for Lucas Film that had a good looking piece of some Rebel Troops watching Imperials unloading Juggernauts and AT-AT's (there's some comment about Juggernauts not working right).. I'm sure this would make a great short film... but probably not in ESB.. just put it as a DVD extra.
