Well, as stated, it's a Leica Summicron 50mm/f2.0 R-mount.

Just playing around with different camera settings to see what works and doesn't in my apartment's lighting, which is kind of shitty for camera work without a flash; Canon Eos Digital Rebel XS for the camera.

Go to your menu settings and to "Set manual WB", then use that picture of the door and zoom in to the door/wall. Then use that custom setting (pictogram of a square with 2 triangles next to it) in the same place - you'll get accurate colours.

Yeah, I've tried fiddling with the white balance. The lighting in my apartment is just shit no matter what it's set at. I'll test a few more settings and post at least one example with flash when I get home.

I'm trying to figure out the best settings to use in order to avoid as much post processing as possible, tyvm. Otherwise I'd just run it through lightstudio. :P

That assumes that the door is neutral grey or white, which it probably isn't. Residential doors are usually a creamy or off-white beige colour, setting white balance off the door will result in a photo that's too bluish.

What you need is a a neutral grey card or a sheet of white typing paper, stick the paper in the scene, do the manual white balance off that, then remove it and shoot the photo.
