Maybe I should draw it with crayons next time. Would puppets help?
Ah, you can't actually demonstrate where the harm is, so you're going to whine and bluster some more. There is no practical difference between returning something because someone doesn't like it and because they don't like it enough to keep it when the results are the same. Maybe I need to use single syllable words to explain it to you?

Oh man, not just stupid but dishonest. I guess 'DRM sucks because it doesn't work and punishes everyone' = 'use legal policy accepted by entire marketplace' ... an obvious atempt to conflate it with piracy.

Even better Starglider is amazing and brilliant even though pretty much everyone has known that only subscription models work for years.

When something is allowed by every step in the marketplace top to bottom, it is clearly wrong to do it for... some reason. Right?

Sorry for shitting up your thread Ando. When it comes down, get Fable 3, it's way better than the other two.

Yeah, as it turns out returning the item isn't killing the industry. You could actually make a pretty good case for returns/trades keeping the industry alive. How many people would even buy games at full price if they knew they couldn't trade them back?

Fable II is on my "to wrap up" list. Actually having the motivation of Fable III to get around to it is quite handy. Have they at least fixed the menu systems though?

But... you dont' have to play Fable 2 to play 3. Fable 2 sucks. 3 looks better, plays better, has a way better UI, a more interesting story and fixes a bunch of the ridiculous exploits from the first game.

And yeah they've basically eliminatde the ridiculous inventory system. And slow time is a potion now, not a spell, so magic isn't megacheese. It's still super-cheese because the first spell you get is better than everything else, but you can't just stand still nd kill everyone anymore.

I'm far enough into Fable 2 that I want to see the conclusions, plus I've got the DLC for it sitting and gathering virtual dust. Also, it's one of the only games that my wife can tolerate me playing while she's in the same room...

From a JB sale and a pile of trade-ins of completed and obsolete games, I picked up EA Sports MMA for $6.20.

$447.10 remain.

And I'm starting back into Fable 2 to try and clear that up.

Oh shit Ando I traded my copies of War for Cybertron, my import Rock Band 2 and a return on Blops pricematched to $79 dollars at EB. Somehow this gave me $211! Those poor fools. :)

To be fair, the quality of stuff I was trading in was like: Rainbow 6: Vegas 1, SC:DA and the like. Assassin's Creed II was the only notable.

So, what will you be doing with your $211?

Probably nothing. Nothing interests me outside of Hot Pursuit atm, and that's already paid for by returning ... uh... Rollerskates of War... um... vanquish, that's it.

Maybe I'll buy Sherry another year of Gold? :D

Hot pursuit intrigues me but the demo didn't sell me on it. I'll be interested to see exactly how the full version is received.

I'm sad that its menu-driven and that racers don't seem to be able to kill racers.

Well that's a bummer.

Tell me more if you feel like it.

I'm down to a round $447.00 after getting the AoE3 special.

I feel like you're a dude with a lot on his plate, and I just want to ask you, "Are you gonna eat play all that?" Do you need to buy more video games when you've got stacks of games to play through?

Kane & Lynch 2 is one that I have been wanting to play at at about a dollar an hour for the campaign it hit a threshold where I'm happy with it. The Indie Story pack is as much stuff for my wife as it is for me. Things like Puzzle Agent and Jolly Rover are up her alley.

Personally I'm going to be stuck with F:NV for the next month or so after I finish my first playthrough. I really don't see what's on the horizon that I'm going to be buying, Steam sales or not. It'd have to be pretty special. Maybe Amnesia if its cheap.

The sales are because of Black Friday, right?

Yes and no
This is the first of two Stem sales, there is the Black Friday sales. They do it over several days to give each set of deals a day to shine. Then the general end of year/Xmas sales in two weeks.

Not for $49.99, that's for sure. I'll wait until the sales play out, I might get it for only $19.99 or even less if I'm lucky.

But before I play Alpha Protocol - if I get it cheap - I've got to finish Fallout New Vegas multiple times (I just do, that's how Fallout is for me) then go back to finishing Saints Row 2 (only interrupted by F:NV and briefly by the criminally short TFU2)) and a whole bunch of other PS3 games I need to give their due, like Demon's Souls and War for Cybertron and stuff.

Alpha Protocol? Figures. One night I'm out drinking, Steam sells it for cheap and then it jacks up to $49.99?
