So where were these 100MT torpedos in 'Pegasus'...?

Good question. In fairness, it's possible the E-D could've done more
than shatter parts of the asteroid in "The Pegasus," but by how much is
anybody's guess...Michael's estimate is still very much sound insofar as
meeting the requirements of "destroy," though, of course, and
his figure range IS an upper-limit for shattering that partly hollow
rock.

I'm inclined to accept the visuals over Riker's word any day of
the week, but I don't think there must be a contradiction between
the two. But then, I think 100 megatons is too high a figure for
a single torpedo...given what we actually saw, and what the
crew expected to happen, I would expect something more along
the lines of low double-digit megatonnage.

I just read the thread that Bernd Schneider started about Wong's site.

I lament that a little of my great respect for him has suddenly died.

Take it easy, will ya? Apples and Oranges lampooned the VS debate (although Wong was the example). It wasn't that accurate, but it was amusing.

On the other hand, RSA is one person I wish had just stayed away from the VS debate community.
