he may be dead, but he didn't suffer enough. At least his suicide accomplished something, even if not enough to offset the damage he did while alive.

I agree, the NR has all the old problems of the OR and now with a even bigger threat than Palpatine they crumble. They try and do what the USA did in Nam' politicians running wars that should be run by generals. By kicking out their best weapon (jedi) for personal political reasons. And trying the appeasement angle(just ask England and France how well Appeasemt works) is the biggest mistake of all.
Without strong determined leadership the NR will crumble faster than a sandcastle in a hurricane.

Too bad Vergere taught Tsavong Lah how to play djariik (the holographic game R2 and Chewie [may he rest in peace] were playing in ANH). If she hadn't, Tsavong Lah might have fallen for Fey'lya's trick.
