dingdingdingding, we have a winner, albeit unofficial. Five bucks says that the end of Ep III is the Corellian treaty Involving Bail Organna, Mon Mothma, and Garm Bel Iblis.
My thoughts exactly. Unfortunately, I couldn't remember his name until I saw vakundok's post.

Then you owe me five bucks, the last scene of Ep III was filmed during Ep II Spoiler
[/b]Obi-Wan handing over baby Luke to Owen and Beru Lars on Tatooine.
. Well that was the story according to George (the part that he filmed the last scene of Ep III while filming Ep II), and the spoiler is just my speculation, but what else could it be?

First of all, to solve the debate of Stravo versus et al. George Lucas does what he wants and really should've had a frying pan taken to him when he conceived of Jar Jar Binks. So we'll see what we see when we see.

Though in all likelihood, as GL is probably also thinking marketing, publicity, and how to get the fans to buy more stuff.. I bet you it has a high probability of being Thrawn. A lot of people will go out to buy his action figure, model, etc.. open up new possibilities for posters, ads.. most of which will be readibly excitable stuff for the average fan, even if he only has a one minute appearance in the film.

Wouldn't this contradict a lot of stuff we thought we knew about Thrawn? :?

It would certainly make more sense to feature Garm Bel-Iblis or Armand Isard.

I just hope it won't end up being like the EU characters that were featured in AOTC and be people we've never heard of...

I'm sorry, really though.. when has George Lucas really cared about the EU anyhow?

Like baron Orman Tagge? (I hope it was his name. He appeared in one of the Han Solo books. (Han Solo's nomads or something ...))

Okay fine be picky! What I meant (and should have said) was that the founding of the Rebellion would be part of the end of the movie, and Bel Iblis would be involved in that. It wouldnt be the veryveryververy last scene.

Well, the name "Coruscant" is from the EU. Also, in the "Special Edition" ANH we briefly saw Dash Rendar's ship in Mos Eisley. (It's there if you look after it closely enough)

When he helped Anderson come up with the backstory to the Sith.
