Hot Pants, by the way, is a nickname Zaia gave me sometime last year (or the year before?).
Aww, I'm sorry to see that Eliot quote leave because it's awesome, but I am glad that Los Pantalones Calientes are in there now! W00t w00t!
And I fixed mine so that I have the little accenty thing over my 'a.'
Yes, it is, but it's about twenty characters over the character limit, unfortunately.
And the 'accenty thing'? Hehe.

It's a
grave.

Ask Crom about the Deadmen Resistance...it's just a joke from April Fool's, everything was lost with the deletion of Spamworld...Oh well. BTW, we are recruiting martyrs. Fight for the cause! I'm not sure what the cause was, I think it was fighting the Admins, for equal power, but hey, any cause is a good cause if you get to be a martyr, right?
I get to be the Supreme Commander of the army though, so its cool.
Vive La Resistance!
FIGHT THE POWER!

It's the first few lines of one of the songs from Disney's Robin Hood translated into Italian. I don't know why.

Fiddlesticks.

Yes, yes, I know, but the only word I could come up with was "umlaut," which was obviously incorrect, so "accenty thing" it was. So

Well since it's at the top of this one I won't include it here, I change mine around a bit every so often.
the first part is my affiliations: those who know me I am manic depressive, and I have a reputation from asvs of being crazy but harmless, I also am a union rep in real life, I read sluggy constantly, I am one of the mods of the brotherhood of the monkey, I work as a Bartender, The original warsies is a group of us "older" posters, I used to do criminal things with computers, and I am a member of the B5 offshoot group...
the next line describes what ever my avatar is at this time. (changes monthly)
Next we have my ASVS vets association title, and a refrence to the year 2000 bug that never happened....
Mace Windu 25:17 is a refrence to that most bad assed of bad asses, Samuel L. Jackson, Starwars and Pulp Fiction....
actuall its a space where I put in random wierd quotes
Cult of the Kitten <Mew.> refers to a love of sluggy freelance, and all of it's evil...

Both correct. I italicised it, though, because it's a foreign word. As per rules of properly written English.
It would be pronounced like
grave mortuoso, though. And yes, I am aware of what that means, and that it makes no sense.

It's just a quote from my favorite band that I happened to like. For a little bit I listed ASVS class of 99 and some other stuff but I decided to just go with the lyrics. Other oldtime ASVSer know who I am and thats all that matters. Anyway 311's been my favorite band since I was in HS (or maybe Junior High) and so I always try to give them some publicity since MTV seems to have some kind of problem with them and won't play them.

I'm in the SoS and ISARMA and I'm a band nerd. I threw in the link because it sums up my view of the upcoming presidential election and it's one of the longest urls I've ever seen.

Well, my original sig was a quote from Lovecraft that I happened to like (and wasn't the 'cliched' Cthulhu chant or anything of that like). Since then, I've decided I'll build up a shorter quote collection there, starting with the gem from Rye you see now.

Xenophobe just made me think, is there a preoccupation with the number 666 in here?

Are you all Devil Worshipers

? lol- um, alot of people note their 666th post in their sigs *nods*

Mine depicts the God of the internet (otherwise known as Lain) as well as one of the many symbols of the Illuminati. Not much else in the way of explanation.

It's just that a lot of us are atheists who don't like fundies too much, and since 666 is supposed to be the mark of the beast or some such...
It's just a lot of us being assholes, when you get down to it. Me?

My sig is a quote from 'The Wanderer' an Old English poem ('Anhaga' actually means 'Wanderer').
It translates as follows:
"Where is the horse? Where is the rider?
Where the treasure-giver?
Where are the seats at the feast?
Where are the the revels in the hall?
Alas for the bright cup!
Alas for the armoured warrior!
Alas for the splendour of the prince!
How that time has passed away
Dark under cover of night
As if it had never been."
Those among you who know your Tolkein may recognise that Prof. T wasn't shy in borrowing the bones of some of his poetry from the Anglo-Saxons.

"ISARMA: Daikaiju Coordinator: Just Add Radiation"
An homage to my favorite type of movie: Giant Radioactive Dinosaur Films. Plus memebership in ISARMA.
"When writing crossovers, several human sacrifices to Yog-Sothoth are required. Have YOU paid up? "
Shows a love for the Outer Gods and the Lovecraft Mythos. And of Crossovers, and a wry sense of humor.
"It may only be fanfiction, but I will hold you accountable for it."
A personal quote when I try to deal with insipid fanfic writers online...People who scream "But it's only fanfiction", as if it would negate what they have done.
"Reviewing movies is a lot like Palentology: The Evidence is there...but no one seems to agree upon it."
Another personal quote about movies and palentology.
"Knowledge is Power, Power Corrupts.
Study Hard, Be Evil!"
Bumper-Sticker quote. Gotta love Bumper Sticker Quotes!
"Between Bad Fanfic Writers, Kitten Board Posters and Mindless Relation-Shippers...It's tough to be a Buffy fan when surrounded by that much stupidity."
Pretty self explanitory. I'm a rare "Suspension of Disbelief" Buffy fan, most are "Literary" when looking at the show. Though I do enjoy the philosophical discussions raised, it does have its limits...
Let me elabortate:
Bad Fanfic Writers -- Self Explanitory, really. They rape canon and what each character represents to fulfill their trite fantasies.
Kitten Board Posters -- Believe that Tara was killed because she was gay and have sworn off the show after season 6. No, Really. I'm not making this up. They are the Buffy Fandom Equivilent of Rabid Fundies--complete with "Higher than Though" morals, bizzare interpretations of their core texts and even "Well they aren't TRUE Kitten Board Members" bullcrap.
Mindless "Shippers" -- Spike can do no wrong, "Buffy brought the rape on herself", "It's all her fault for not accepting Spike", "Buffy and Angel 4EVA!", and it goes on and on and on...

Well, my sig has a number of things in it. I change stuff from time to time.
"Were you born with out a sense of humor or did you lose it in a tragic whoppy cushion accident? -Stormbringer "
Stormbringer smacked someone's ass with this.
"We are well and truly forked." -Mace Windu Shatterpoint "
Shatterpoint sucked. The only good thing was that it seemed every incident with Mace Windu, it was more like Samuel L. Jackson in there. This one, was interesting as he talked about the fork, then he came to this.
"Either way KJA is now Dune's problem. Why can't he stop tormenting me and start writting fucking Star Trek books." -Lord Pounder"
Believe it or not, Pounder can say something funny. This was just one time. DAMN was it funny.
The Dark Guard Fleet
This is a url actually. It's an online gaming group. The history I have with them is long and legendary. Swashbuckler!

YAY I got a new quote in the sig! From that news story where a guys stomach fell out after the stiches tore. What a wife he has.
