Does this work for everyone else? It's fine with me, and I'm sure it'll be fine with Art.

BTW, is that just this week, or does your schedule change every week or so?
changes every week... I work in a grocery store

You poor bastard. I don't work weekends, and overtime is completely voluntary.

P.S. For anyone who's been putting off making their characters and whatnot, today would be the day.

Room is up. Server "Better Games Public Server", room "Tensided", password "cyber".

I've gotten about zero feedback, so I don't know if anyone's even going to show up, and only 2 people have sent me character sheets. I'm guessing this will end up being a preparation session like last week was supposed to be, but I could be wrong. Anyway, come on in!

I was proven wrong. The first hour or so was getting people's character sheets up to spec, but after that was pure gaming goodness. It was a blast. Next game will be two weeks from now, July 17, at the same time, same place.

Everyone's character sheets have been updated for XP and items acquired. They can be found here:

Ernesto
M6-41
Xak
Jack

So download them, spend the XP, and then send them back to me before the next session.

People who want to join next game should get their characters ready now. If you're not sure about something, ask. If you think you've got it, send me your sheet so I can look it over. I don't want anybody to show up to the session in two weeks unless his character has been checked out, OK'd, and put on the website by me.

Anyway, thanks guys, I had a great time, and it seems you did too. Look forward to the next game.

Here's a chat log of tonight's game, if anyone wants to have a look.

I just got finished cleaning up the chat log into a more coherent text file. No OOC chat, and the events have been organized into a smooth, seamless stream in order to eliminate time inconsistencies. Check it out.

Worked on the Big Book, specifically the Combat chapter (which I broke into two chapters). Check it out if you want. I changed the filename, so it can be found here now.

Sorry I couldnt make it, but Lisa finally got some time off, and we spent it celebrating the 4th and cuddling, among other things. :) But I'll be at the next game for sure.

Good for you. I'll beat anyone who puts my game ahead of their personal lives to death with their own shoes.

You have a character sheet? If so, send it to me at the address listed on the site. If you're having problems, just ask. I'm happy to answer questions and resolve issues now. I won't be happy if there are unresolved things when it's game time.

Cool. Picked it up the other day, but I was reading it this morning and I noticed that just about everything that happened (IC and OOC) was there. At least, everything I remember - Did I pass out at any point? ;)

Yay! More combatty goodness!

Hmm, did you get my text file, or Art's html file? Cause the html file is just a log of everything that was typed during the game. The text file is my edit of the same thing, which eliminated all of the OOC chat, and reorganized certain events so they made chronological sense.

Of course, it's possible that you might have said something OOC and didn't put it in parentheses, and I thought it was IC, but no matter. I enjoyed the shit out of that game, and I can't wait for the next one.

Worked some more on the Big Book. Little changes here and there, but the big ones include revamping the Targeting section and transferring the Weapons and Armor sections from the Cyberpunk supplement over to the Big Book. I also modified what I did yesterday on Severity and Bleeding. It's not "done" (these types of projects never are), but I removed the "incomplete" and "extreme crap" monikers, as it's basically fully functional again. I'll make the Weapons and Armor chapters easy to read tomorrow before I look over the whole book for typos, crappy writing, and flow issues.

One important change is that Base Damages are no longer random. The point of randomized damage was to simulate unpredictable effects, but severity does a much better job at that, so all random damage has been doing is adding an extra die roll and screwing up the realism. As for severity itself, I separated shooting to wound and shooting to kill, and added more points of distinction, including one to denote a shot that only glances. Combat should be faster, more believable, and easier to keep track of now.

EDIT: Almost forgot, this is the link now.

You're right, GP. I was reading Art's HTML. My bad.

No doubt. I had a good time and I'm sad that my schedule doesn't allow for it to happen more often.

Working is nothing to apologize about. I work full time now, too, so I know how it is.

Totally sweet work, man. (The part of me that pretends to be an editor massaged it a bit, though.)

Sweet action. I'll post your version when I get home tonight.

Also, I forgot to mention it last night, but I updated the site with a link to the newest version of the Big Book, and links to everyone's character sheet.

More working on the Big Book. Minor wording changes here and there, but more importantly is that the Weapons section is mostly done. Don't fret when you see all the specific firearm goodness replaced with generic crap. I split the realistic stuff into a Modern Weapons Supplement which can be found here. I did that because not everyone is as much of a gun nut as me, so I made all that detail voluntary for those who don't care. I'll finish tomorrow probably.

I also changed the link again. This will be the last time. The old links still work, of course. I'll leave those for a few months.

The latest edition of the Big Book of G&G is here from now on.

Or, you can just check the website for the latest links. This thread or the website, it matters not.

And as always, if you like Tensided, don't forget to tell your friends! :D

Finished the inventory chapter, and renamed the current Modern Weapons Supplement to the Cyberpunk Weapons Supplement. It can now be found here.

EDIT: Added rules for high speed collisions with unyielding objects in the damage chapter. Falling and car crashes, specifically..

Any word on what time the game will be this weekend?

If it still works out for everyone, I'd like to do it on Sunday instead of Saturday. If it were on Saturday, it would have to end at like 1:00 PM my time, since I'm going to San Francisco to see my dad.

sunday would be best for me as well, as I may not be around friday and saturday.

That should work for me, hopefully I won't be scheduled to work this Sunday. And if I am, fuck em, I got a game to attend.
