Obviously done on very short notice, I have two tribute signatures for Christopher Reeve and Superman fans; feel free to use it.

Where did this come from? It was all so sudden. I watched they news this morning and they said it, just like that: "Cristopher Reeve, aka Superman, is dead. And now for the weather." I could barely believe what I heard but it turned out to be true...
:(

It's so sad. He fights for so long to find a cure, and when we almost have it, he dies from an infection. This is supposed to happen in those sad movies, not in the real life!

We can only hope someone else will fight against the fundies for stemcell research.

......

Rest in Peace, mighty Superman.

You know, somewhere around here I have the old black armband with the superman symbol that came with the comic where he died. I might wear that to work tomorrow.
Clever and witty signature to be inserted here, just as soon as I think of one.

There can be only one Superman, and it was Christopher Reeve.

Of course, it holds nothing to his contributions outside of the movies. Who of us would have fought as hard as he did after his accident? Most of us would have given up.

Go with God, Mr. Reeve.

You have a copy of Superman #75 that came in the black bag with the armband? You know what? I fucking hate you. :)

Here's another mourning signature in case anyone wants it; the image is from JL's "Hereafter".

(And in case anyone's wondering, no, I am not trying to capitalize on Mr. Reeve's death)

Not to get political, but John Kerry mentioned Chris Reeve in the debate last Friday. In a speech Kerry gave yesterday, he talked about Reeve death and the contributions he made. Kerry was visably upset and I do believe that he will be a strong advocate for the research. He too believed that Reeve would have walked again.

I think I'll use that, but I'll host my copy on photobucket.
"Right now we can tell you a report was filed by the family of a 12 year old boy yesterday afternoon alleging Mr. Michael Jackson of criminal activity. A search warrant has been filed and that search is currently taking place. Mr. Jackson has not been charged with any crime. We cannot specifically address the content of the police report as it is confidential information at the present time, however, we can confirm that Mr. Jackson forced the boy to listen to the Howard Stern show and watch the movie Private Parts over and over again."

Well, according to Swedish science magazine "Ny Teknik" (New Technology), stem cell research is now advanced enough that, in maybe 5-7 years or possibly even less, we could effectively use stemcells against paralysis (at least the kind that comes from a broken neck). Unless certain groups get what they want and the research is banned...
