“This is James Ceevree, reporting from the field. GDI forces continue the long, hard process of cutting out the cancer that is NOD forces in Atlantis. So far, the only city that has been certified as clear of NOD forces is Alterra, the capital city. Through which, more GDI troops continue to arrive. However this has left other GDI nations dangerously defended, with the bulk of GDI forces tied up clearing up, wait, we have just received an emergency message from one of our offices in Britain. According to our station, NOD forces have assaulted Hogwarts, currently used as the base of GDI, Ministry, and Order of the Phoenix forces. Reports are still sketchy but it appears that the attack has been repulsed, wait, oh dear gods. Ladies and gentlemen, this just in. Albus Dumbledore, Chief Warlock of the ICW, has been killed. This is a dark day indeed. Hold on, we are receiving more reports. Ok, we are going to put you through Mark. Your on.”
A new voice comes on the radio, sounding panicked.
“Wizarding Britain has fallen. A massive explosion ripped through the Ministry and Regional GDI headquarters. Massive numbers of NOD troops have stormed the wizarding portions of Britain. We can see them out our window here at WWN in Diagon Alley. Oh my gods, they have taken Gringotts. They are coming this way. Ladies and Gentlemen, this is WWN, the last voice of freedom in Britain, we will keep broadcasting as long was we can.” In the background a door is heard breaking, there are shouts of spells and sounds of gunfire. “They are outside the booth now, REDUCTO! COME ON YOU BLOODY BASTARDS! REDUCTO! AVADA KEDAVRA!”
There is a rushing sound and a thud, like a body hitting the floor.
A new voice comes on the air.
“There can be no stopping the glorious march of the Brotherhood and the Dark Lord Voldemort. Your foolish hero, Dumbledore has fallen, and none shall stand in our path. We shall-”
“Ladies and Gentlemen, again, this truly is a dark day in our history. We will continue to keep you updated as events progress.”

Here are two little story pieces that I wrote long ago to help with my story.

Where is he?: Currently waging a war of revenge on the remaining Death Eaters that killed Hermione. Because of the nature of the war, has already been pardoned for several counts of using an illegal curse on another human being.

One Month Prior to the GDI Invasion to retake of Alterra
Auror Fourth Class Potter laid on his back in his bed. He was currently stationed at Hogwarts. Though the school had closed, it had been repaired and was now serving as the headquarters for the Northern Auror Command, as well as the barracks for the Britain GDI Defense Force and the Order of the Phoenix militia. Though officially a member of the Auror Corps, Harry was working for the Order, helping Dumbledore hunt down the Horcruxes. It was by sheer luck that Dumbledore had discovered the existence of the magical items. Harry still didn’t know how Dumbledore had figured that one out.
Harry reached into a pocket on his shirt and pulled out a photo of him, Ron, Hermione, and Ginny. It was the last they had taken together. Ron looked so happy with Hermione. It had been one of the last times he had a smile on his face. About twenty minutes after the picture, a Death Eater raid occurred in Diagon Alley. Ginny and Hermione were both killed in the cross fire. Something had snapped in Ron that day. He went out on his own and started killing as many dark wizards as he could. That had been about six months ago, and already he had been pardoned at least a dozen times for use of illegal curses and nearly three times that number for murdering dark wizards. He had been turned down by everyone he had tried to join, the Aurors, the ComWiz, the GDI, even the Order had refused him claiming he was too reckless.
Harry shifted on his bed. He was on duty in half an hour and he was trying to catch as much sleep as he could. However, sleep was elusive tonight. Thank Merlin he didn’t get visions from Voldemort anymore. Unbeknownst to him, that would prove to be something far less than a blessing.

Voldemort sat upon his throne. Sanicus stood at his right, Brother Cain of the Brotherhood of Nod at his left.
“So, tell me, Cain, how go the preparations for the invasion?”
“All is going according to plan. The bulk of our forces will be vampires and dwarves. The rest shall prepare for the true assault, which will take place a month after the invasion.. However, we have had to pull considerable strength from the town of Heka to prepare for this assault.”
“Good. Now begin the first phase.”
“By your command.”

BBC NEWS BULLETIN
Three towns so far have fallen to the new sickness. Medical experts say that it appears that the people simply fell into a coma like state. No progress has been made in the attempts to cure this strange sickness. Already the three towns have been quarantined by the government, with military enforcement. Also, three primary schools were attacked by unknown assailants yesterday. The bodies of the teachers and staff where found, dead, with no marks. The children still have not been found.

Atlantis, Alterra
Auror Fifth Class Myrddin Thomas, named after the famous Alterran Myrddin, otherwise known as Merlin, sat outside door to the Prime Minster of Alterra’s office. PM guard duty was the most boring duty of all time. Nothing ever happened. Thomas glanced at his watch. The Minister was pulling another all-nighter. Probably trying to scrounge up the funds to send more of their Aurors to help the GDI free Heka, since they had already sent all of their ComWiz units. Thomas stood up from his chair and walked over to the coffee pot near the window. He looked out and saw the moon. It was full tonight. Thomas thought to himself, “Beca is probably locked in her ‘time of the month’ room right now.” He walked back to his chair and leaned it back against the wall. He took a drink of coffee. As the hot liquid traveled down his throat a howl echoed down the halls. Thomas shot up, dropping his coffee mug. The flicked his wrist and his wand appeared in his hand, emerging from the specially designed Auror Wand Holster. As he gripped his wand the lights flickered and then went out. The only light coming from the moonlight streaming in through the windows. He heard a scream and a ripping sound coming from behind him in the Minister’s office. Thomas spun and ran towards the door.
“REDUCTO!”
The door essentially disintegrated, and Thomas was in the office. The Minister was lying on the desk, his back being torn open by two small werewolves.
Thomas pointed his wand at one of the werewolves and shouted, “ARGENTU SPICA”
A pair of silver stakes shot from his wand and impacted in the neck of smaller of the werewolves. The creature grasped at its neck as it died. When it stopped convulsing, the creature had reverted back to its human form, a small child, not even a teenager.
Thomas was shifting his wand to the other beast on the Ministers back. He heard a howl from right behind him. He spun, his wand held close, and ended up face to snout with the most well known and feared of all werewolves. Thomas recognized the scar covering the left eye and the identifying marks on the snout. And when he realized who and what he was facing, he literally shit himself in terror. For Fenrir Greyback was truly a sight to shit one selves at. The last thing going through his mind was “Beca, I lo-” as Fenrir literally ripped Thomas’s head clean off his shoulders.

Alterra Auror Force Headquarters, Level three Ministry Building
Auror Second Class Lucas Byerline was sitting at his desk when the lights went out. As soon as the office plunged into darkness, alarms started blaring. Byerline shot to his feet, whirling around. Behind him was a map of the ministry which was flashing a rainbow of colors. ‘Oh, gods, the wards are all down.’ He heard popping sounds behind him. Byerline, without thinking, rolled to his left, behind his desk, his wand already in his left hand, his other going for his service automatic on his right thigh. The pistol cleared the holster as the first spells came over his desk. He cast a smoke charm, obscuring his view of the attackers, but also masking him from them. He scooted to the side of the desk and fired rapidly into the smoke, hearing the shouts of pain as his rounds found their targets. Someone shouted “PROTEGO! Byerline aimed towards the voice and fired. It was a pureblood who cast the shield spell. Perhaps no one had told him that what Protego did was charge the air with magical energy, preventing spells from crossing, or perhaps he had just reacted on instinct. Either way, the results were the same. The 9mm slugs passed right through the shield and into the mans flesh. He went down with a shout.
Byerline heard another pop. He couldn’t tell if the person was coming or going. He weighed his options. He cast cannonball curses and blasting hexs with his wand as he darted to the eastern wall. On that wall was a weapons case, containing shotguns and sub machine guns. He could just make out the shape of the case ahead of him. Lucas turned his wand and “reductor. The case door opened. Lucas felt a curse hit his leg. He reached the case and pulled out a Remington 870.
He whirled around, raking the action, loading in a round, screwed his eyes closed, and fired as his smoke charm finally faded. The buckshot round caught someone in the face. He opened his eyes, trying to readapt them to the darkness, even with his eyes closed the muzzle flash was bright. He scrambled on his belly along the wall, keeping behind desks. He stopped behind a desk, and raised his wand. He closed his eyes once more and shouted “LUMOS SPICA!! A bright flare shot from his wand and through luck, skill, or divine intervention struck a hostile right in the face. The man fell to the ground as the flare burned, lighting the HQ. Lucas raked the action again, loading a new shell and ejecting the old one. He squatted up and fired again. He buckshot round struck a man wearing brotherhood robes in the chest. As the man fell, another dozen men popped in. Lucas loaded another round and heard another half dozen pops. He looked again and saw Aurors, his Aurors, standing in the middle of the room. It took them a second to note the burning flare embedded in the dead man’s face and to notice the other dead bodies. That second was a second too long for five of them. They went down without evening their wands up and curses flying. The sixth man went down just as he got his wand up.
“NO!” Shouted Byerline. He stood up, ignoring the pain coming from his leg and started firing his shotgun as fast as he could, pellets striking into the brotherhood members. A brother raised his wand and screamed out “CRUCIO! Byerline withstood the curse long enough to place another shotgun blast into that brother when he went down to no less than five separate killing curses.

As day dawned on the Alterran Ministry, Matteus Sanicus strode with powerful strides into the lobby. Blood was smeared over the front desk, but the bodies had been cleared out. Sanicus noticed a few drops of blood falling and looked up, noticing for the first time the corpse tangled in the chandelier. He stepped around the pool of blood. The most senior ranking brotherhood member approached from his left.
“Brother,” said Sanicus, disguised contempt in his voice. While Sanicus did indeed acknowledged that the Brotherhood of Nod was critical to the war effort, his time with the US DoM Auror Force had taught him to look down upon all wizarding extremist groups, especially one that had tried to kill him for many years while in the AF.
“Sanicus, the Ministry is ours.”

As the man fell, another dozen men popped in. Lucas loaded another round and heard another half dozen pops. He looked again and saw Aurors, his Aurors, standing in the middle of the room. It took them a second to note the burning flare embedded in the dead man’s face and to notice the other dead bodies. That second was a second too long for five of them. They went down without evening their wands up and curses flying. The sixth man went down just as he got his wand up.
“NO!” Shouted Byerline. He stood up, ignoring the pain coming from his leg and started firing his shotgun as fast as he could, pellets striking into the brotherhood members. A brother raised his wand and screamed out “CRUCIO! Byerline withstood the curse long enough to place another shotgun blast into that brother when he went down to no less than five separate killing curses.

As day dawned on the Alterran Ministry, Matteus Sanicus strode with powerful strides into the lobby. Blood was smeared over the front desk, but the bodies had been cleared out. Sanicus noticed a few drops of blood falling and looked up, noticing for the first time the corpse tangled in the chandelier. He stepped around the pool of blood. The most senior ranking brotherhood member approached from his left.
“Brother,” said Sanicus, disguised contempt in his voice. While Sanicus did indeed acknowledged that the Brotherhood of Nod was critical to the war effort, his time with the US DoM Auror Force had taught him to look down upon all wizarding extremist groups, especially one that had tried to kill him for many years while in the AF.
“Sanicus, the Ministry is ours.”

All the vehicles in use are just normal muggle military vehicles that have charms added to them. Altough I am going to throw in a speeder bike. Basicly, the weasley twins saw Return of hte Jedi, where so enthralled by the idea of the bikes and built their own. Other than that, the heaviest military vehicle is a M-113.Setzer wrote:Jeez. I just read this all in one go. Kickass! Would be nice to occasionally see the HP gang as a "view on what's going on".
Also, if you're using lots of american magic-users, it might be nice to mix up the styles. Sure they're all military trained, but one could be a Kabbalist, one a voodoo-practicioner, and one an old-style shaman who inherited things from a celtic grandfather.

Yeah, in reading it doesn't really register that anyone important dies. Thats because the story isnt really about them. There wont be any scenes with Ron or a scene with a final showdown with Voldemort.
