I'd have to say Fight Club and THX-1138. If there is a movie version of 1984, I'd go with that as well.
Fight Club is very impressive, it offered me a viewpoint I had never considered.
THX-1138 is well... hard to describe, but it sure made me think about our current society.
And everyone knows 1984.
