That's funny. I thought it looked like something out of a bad '60s dinosaur movie.
Well, that's only the base of whatever the dragon will end up being. Don't forget all the airbrushing--err, special effects--they'll add in later.

I don't doubt it'll look much better in the actual movie. It's just that DPDP seems to like the picture as is, and the first thing I thought upon seing said picture was 'WTF? This looks like a '60s japanese Godzilla movie' (and yes, as far as I'm concerned, Godzilla is a dinosaur).

How the hell does it look cheesy? Have you ever seen the animatronic dinosaurs from Jurassic Park in a low-quality photo in neutral lighting?

No I haven't, and I have no doubt that they'd look cheesy too.
What I'm saying is that, at least to me, that photo AS IT IS does look cheesy.
I'm not saying that dragon might not look fantastic in the movie. It does, however, not do so in the provided picture.

Well, I'm thinking it's going to look fantastic because what's show in the picture appears to be on par with the JP dinos.

Entirely possible, anf given the quality of the HP movies so far very likely.
The dragon in the picture
as such still looks pathetic. IMHO, naturally.

You just need to stop comparing it to the robo-dino you've got stashed in your cave.

Of course it looks cheesy. I thought so too, but then I thought that this would be the
end product in a cheap 60's film, whereas this is the starting base for this movie, so I'm sure they'll make it look great. But then again, they really dropped the ball with Fawkes in CoS, but Buckbeak looked un-fucking-believalbe in PoA so ...

Katie Leung - the girl who will play Cho Chang
She's been taking a lot of online abuse from spiteful female Potter fans. Some fans even started a Hate-Katie movement on the internet.....

I don't get it. I think she looks rather cute, actually, quite the type that young Harry would go for...

From what I read on the net, she gets to kiss Daniel Radcliffe and that's the main reason while female fans are so critical of her casting as Cho....

Where do you think I got the impression from?

By the way, speaking as someone working in the industry, there are actually a surprising amount of people playing "younger than 18" roles who are in their 20s. One girl I talked to was 27, and the only reason she played <18 roles was because she coated her face so liberally with makeup that the lines didn't show. If you're close enough it's really easy to tell.
I've actually played quite a few <18 roles myself, and I'm nearly 21.

Guys new pics are out....
Hungarian Horntail
Cedric Diggory
Fleur Delacour
Victor Krum
Hermione at the Yule Ball
The Goblet of Fire
Harry
The third task maze

My main problem with those stills is Fleur isn't pretty enough and the size of the Third Task maze is just absurd. It's the size of a quiditch pitch, not an entire valley!
On a plus side, the Weasley twins look gorgeus as always, as does Hermione.

True. Even given that the actors who play characters from a book never look quite how you imagined said characters, it isn't exactly the face that launched a thousand ships* and drove men mad with desire.
* The first person to say "but that was Helen of Troy" gets kneecapped.

I would fuck Emma Watson in a heartbeat.
But I'm not old like the rest of you pervs (including you, IP!)

I thought Cedric looked better...
Though Krum is a hottie!
And the Weasley twins, as well

Quiet you. When Emma Watson's 18 and visiting the States, I can buy her liquor and have a grand ole time.

You could do that in Germany when she turns 16
