Here's another one: people who believe shit just because other people believe it. Most fundies fall into this category, but it also goes for people who are all crazy about "artistic expression" that's just basically shoddy half-assed bullshit clapped together by some jack-off who's both too egotistic and too lazy to actually go the distance and create real art, e.g. some no-talent schmuck who randomly flings paint at a canvas and the drooling idiots who rave about what a genius he is.

My personal bugbear is shitty grammar. Not poor grammar, or lazy grammar, but shitty grammar.
Now, l have no problem with grammar being wrong or imperfect on forums, or on home pages. Nor in e-mails, or in personal correspondance. We can all relax in our private lives, can't we? Nobody's keeping score.
And I admit that I don't have a full command of grammar myself.
But it's where money has been spent and hundreds of people have been employed in producing text for public consumption without anybody realising that the grammar is fundementally wrong... That really pisses me off. It shows a lack of care and respect for the public, and is almost always something that would have been easy for somebody to fix. But no.
How often have you read an expensive book, or a popular magazine, only to be confronted by "it's" and "its" all in the wrong places? "The hatstand was given it's undercoat of primer. Its a good idea to use Donkeyrapers woodstain, with it's quick-drying properties." Terrible. Just terrible.
I went to a city a few years ago, and the bus timetables were headed wheres my bus?. How much did that cost? That's a public sign by the bus company and the local council, and they can't be bothered to get right something that a schoolkid can learn in one frigging morning!

One thing that pisses me of is reality.

Why can't that damn reality we live in just accept that it is an illusion and become a much more livable illusion.. Because i'm sorry to say, but life on earth is.. well.. tragic... booring.. and seriously fucked up.

Sorry, Dralan, but you've touched another of my (too many) nerves: people who insist that there's no right or wrong. I'm not here to argue the point, or to say that you're a bad person. But I will point out that in my experience, people who claim there's no right or wrong do so in order to justify, at least to themselves, their own desire to do shitty things to other people. Raped a 12 year old? No big deal, there's no right or wrong, so you didn't do anything wrong, did you?

Websites that disable the back button on your browser. I mean really, it's like walking into a store and having the proprietor step up and lock the door behind you. How rude.

Rubberneckers. Quite apart from the intolerable traffic jams they creates, as a cop, you have no idea how many traffic accidents I investigate that were caused by dumbasses rubbernecking at the scene of a previous accident.

Professional wrestling. To my mind, this is America's second greatest contribution to the decline of Western civilization. Grown men cavorting in their underpants and acting like tantrum-throwing five year olds. And Americans pay to see this. God help us.

Jerry Springer. This is America's greatest contribution to the above mentioned decline of Western civilization. Springer's is not the only low-brow show if this type, but he's the worst offender. Where to they get these people?

Actually, I ought to know, since I deal with folks just like them nearly every day. But remember when there used to be the idea that you didn't air your dirty laundry in public? Every family or group has its little problems and dramas, but remember when we all thought that was no one else's business? Whatever happened to that mentality? And why in the name of God would people ever want to go prove to the world on broadcast television what sordid, squalid, wretched pieces of trailer trash they are?

People who are never at fault. It was with unbridled disgust that I recently read of the overweight man who is suing the fast food chains for making him fat. Well excuse me, did anyone put a gun to his head and make him scarf down those big greasy burgers? No, he stuffed all that food down his gullet because it tasted good, and he's too weak-willed to push away from the table.

I'm frankly amazed that people ever got those huge damages from the tobacco companies. I mean, it's not as if they have been printing warning labels on cigarette packages telling you it's unhealthy for, oh, forty years now! It's not as if the American Cancer Society hasn't been running ad campaigns just as long telling everyone that cigarettes can cause cancer. It's not as if there is any conceivable way these days you could not know that smoking is bad for you. No one kidnapped a relative of any of these people and threatened to kill them if they didn't take that first puff.

And of course, we've all heard of the two million dollars won by one lady for spilling hot coffee from McDonald's on her lap. Gosh, whaddya know, that coffee was really hot! Gee, what a surprise. I'm sorry, but when you put a cup of steaming, hot coffee in your lap while you are driving your car, you have no right to be surprised when you spill it on yourself. There was a time when people in this country were expected to exercise a little common sense, and if they didn't... oh well. That was on them.

These days the attitude is: "I'm fat, it's your fault." "I'm sick, it's your fault." "I'm hurt, it's your fault." Well, guess what; it's your fault. You ate it. You drank it. You smoked it. You live with it!

Death metallers that act all Gother-than-Thou to industrial fans even though they don't even like original goth music thoemsleves and call themselves satanists when they're really just rebellious Christians and spread lies about you to your best friends when they're 22 for fucks sake and constantly turn the thermostat off because they can't be arsed to figure out how to use their own radiators and rack up huge phone bills but refuse to itemise it and never ever contribute towards bills but own eight guitars and think they're the only one with problems and write stupid things on their arm with glass bottles because they can't get laid and when they do get laid they fob their supposed freinds off onto someone else because why should they be there for other people and who whinge about their flatmates poking their head round the door topless when they themsleves make breakfast in the kitchen wearing nothing but dirty holey pants under their big fat smelly hairy beer gut.

5. Loudmouths who stick their noses into other people's business. A good example of this is a co-worker of mine. I was being picked on by a supervisor, but was coping with it (some would say, things like that flow off me like water off a duck's back). My colleague however, decided that she would blab it all to my parents one day as we gave her a lift to work. It was not her place to talk about it, and she should have asked me if it was ok to talk about it before talking about it in front of my parents. She dropped me right in it.

Games that just keep mssing their freaking release dates. Moo3 was due in Q3 2001. It is now nearly done and has been nearly done for about 6 weeks. It's beginning to annoy me because I DESPERATELY want this game.

What is ten times worse is a friend who whines, bitches and complains and asks for advice, then doesn't heed your advice only to make the mistake that they wanted to avoid in the first place!

I get really pissed off when I install a program, and then find out I cant uninstall or delete it because its write-protected (GoZilla) Especially, when I install a program, and it installs other shit without my approval, that I cant get rid of (Morpheus). Anyone know how to fix this?

No way in hell am I doing that (willingly). My Documents alone is 808 MB, and contains 1071 files in 45 different folders (and no, its not p0rn). I was able to get rid of GoZilla a while back, I just renamed the folder, and then was able to delete it. But that dosnt work on the programs Morpheus installed.
