No, 2.80 added Vorbis support. 2.81 fixed a bunch of bugs and changed a few plugins.

I just updated to v2.81 a few minutes ago, and I can't get the Winamp symbol to stay in the right-hand bar after I close the programme, as I've always had it.

Any solution to this?

PS: no one has guessed what's different about my desktop compared to most posted here so far.

Your options might have been changed. Go into Preferences -> Options -> Display and look for the box that says "Show Winamp in..."

Yes.

I thought that my computer deserved a persona of some sort, so I named her Sarah, one of my favourite women's names.

Utsanomiko sometimes changes it to Mr Scrugglepuss or something, which can take a while to notice.

Sarah's a good name for a computer. And that's a very realistic RX-78 pic.

Utsanomiko commutes to Iowa daily with our older sister, who's in the Law school. They live in Marion, while I live in one of the dorms.

We go to our house in CR on the weekends.

He often uses Sarah while he's here, to post or play games.

(And yes, Utsanomiko does use Spanky's computer alot. It is much more l33t.)

Hey, by the way, I figured out why your wallpaper looks so photorealistic. Could it be that it is, in fact, a photograph of a MG or PG RX-78-2 model, with CG for the sky and possibly the eye lighting?

I doubt it. I'm 100% convinced that it's a painting, as it came from MAHQ's gallery section.

If it was a model, you could tell due to scaling and materials.

That's why I got it confused with the Power Rangers; the pic didn't look like a cartoon to me, although I wasn't entirely sure.
